Senior Avery Peterson leads a trio of Trojan on the academic honor roll once again, collecting her fourth All-Academic award of her career from the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches. Joining Peterson on the 2017 ACWPC list are her fellow captain, junior Brianna Daboub, and sophomore Courtney Fahey.

Hayley McKelvey Named to FINA Super Final All-Star Team

Two Women of Troy have claimed silver medals at the FINA World League Super Final in China. Canadians Joelle Bekhazi and Hayley McKelvey -- both of whom have won NCAA championships at USC -- were both instrumental in Canada's run to the podium in China. At the close of competition, McKelvey was named to the All-Star Team. McKelvey's current USC teammate, Maud Megens, finished in fifth place at the tourney with her Netherlands squad.

Two Trojans Win Gold With Team USA

USC women’s water polo had two representatives on the U.S. Women’s National Team roster for the Kunshan Cup in China. Fresh off her senior season at Troy, two-meter player Brigitta Games was named to the roster for the international trip, where she was joined by a USC newcomer in Paige Hauschild, who has signed on to join the Trojans as a freshman next season.

Five Women of Troy Earn All-America Accolades

In a season that saw the USC women’s water polo team break the national record win streak and close out the 2017 campaign one win away from a program-record victory count, five Women of Troy have landed spots on the All-American honor roll put together by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches. Now a four-time All-American as she closes her USC career as the Trojans’ No. 2 all-time scorer, Stephania Haralabidis leads the group with a place on the All-America First Team. Freshman Maud Megens, meanwhile, begins her USC career with All-America Second Team honors. On the All-America Third Team are two Trojans — senior Brigitta Games and sophomore Amanda Longan — while All-America Honorable Mention goes to junior Brianna Daboub.

Seven Trojans Earn MPSF Scholar-Athlete Honors

The USC women’s water polo team has landed a program record seven Trojans on the MPSF All-Academic Scholar-Athlete list for 2017. Led by three-time honoree in senior Avery Peterson, repeat honors also go to Brianna Daboub, Ioanna Haralabidis and Annika Jensen, while three Women of Troy have picked up the first Scholar-Athlete awards of their USC careers in Nikki Stansfield, Courtney Fahey and Amanda Longan. All seven won an NCAA Championship in 2016 and helped the 2017 Trojans break the national record in consecutive wins in building out a 52-match win streak this year while USC worked its way to the NCAA Semifinals for the 14th consecutive season.

In another intense, down-to-the wire NCAA clash, the USC women's water polo team saw No. 2 Stanford sneak ahead in the fourth quarter and hold on to claim an 11-10 NCAA Semifinal win over the Trojans in a rematch of last year's epic national championship game. The loss leaves the Trojans with a 29-4 overall record as their 2017 campaign comes to a close.

USC Scores NCAA Semifinal Spot With 12-6 Win Over Michigan

The USC women's water polo team issued a depth charge in today's NCAA Tournament opener, notching 10 Trojans on the scoresheet while all three USC goalies hauled in a combined 21 saves to register a 12-6 win over Michigan and advance to the NCAA Semifinals. No. 3 Seed USC Battles For Back-To-Back NCAA Titles

The No. 3 ranked and seeded USC women's water polo team takes aim at the program's first back-to-back national championships and a sixth overall crown for the Trojans this week as USC (28-3) engages in NCAA Championship action for the 14th straight year. The Women of Troy are looking to add the 2017 trophy to their 1999, 2004, 2010, 2013 and 2016 titles. The 2017 National Collegiate Women's Water Polo Championships will take place in Indianapolis, Ind., at the IU Natatorium. The No. 3 seeded Trojans will open things with an NCAA Quarterfinal matchup against Michigan (28-8) at 5:15 p.m. ET on Friday (May 12). A win there puts USC in a 5 p.m. ET semifinal bout on Saturday (May 13), which will decide who goes on to play for it all. On Sunday (May 15), the NCAA Championship match is set for 3 p.m., ET. All games will have live streaming coverage on with Greg Mescall providing coverage.

Six Trojans Land All-MPSF Honors

The USC women's water polo team has secured six All-MPSF honorees for the second straight season, led by repeat All-MPSF First Team honors for senior Stephania Haralabidis. It's a balanced group of Trojans on the awards list this year, with three seniors, one sophomore and two freshmen grabbing places on the All-MPSF honor roll. On the All-MPSF Second Team sit seniors Brigitta Games and Ioanna Haralabidis, along with sophomore goalie Amanda Longan and freshman Maud Megens. Megens and fellow freshman Denise Mammolito also have earned spots on the MPSF All-Newcomer Team. Additionally, Games and Stephania Haralabidis each earned MPSF All-Tournament Team accolades for their efforts at last weekend's tourney.

Defending National Champs Open 2017 NCAA Tourney As No. 3 Seed

The USC women’s water polo team charges up for its 14th consecutive NCAA appearance in search of the program’s first back-to-back national championships. The Women of Troy enter the 2017 tourney as the defending champs after last year’s undefeated run to the title. Now, USC goes on the hunt for a sixth national championship after picking up the No. 3 seed into this year’s tournament, which will be held May 12-14 in Indianapolis at IU Natatorium. The Trojans open the tourney against Michigan at 5:15 p.m. ET on May 12 to fight for a spot in the May 13 semis and on to the May 14 title match, which is set for 3 p.m. ET.

The No. 3 USC women’s water polo team came through in the clutch with a comeback push to beat No. 5 California 8-6 and claim third place in the MPSF Championships today in Westwood. Up by two at the end of the third, the Trojans saw the Golden Bears battle back and take a one-goal lead in the fourth frame before USC regrouped and rattled off three unanswered goals in the last four minutes to secure a key victory for the Trojan cause. Now 28-3 overall, USC awaits the bracket announcement for the NCAA Championships, which will be revealed on Monday (May 1).

No. 3 USC Falls Short Of MPSF Final With 6-5 Semifinal Loss To No. 2 Stanford

The No. 3 USC women’s water polo team got back in stride in clinging tight to No. 2 Stanford in today’s MPSF Semifinals, but the Cardinal was able to get the goals it needed to fend off the Trojans, emerging with a 6-5 victory in Westwood. USC had the game locked up in midway through the third period, only to see Stanford strike back to keep the upper hand and hold it the rest of the way. The loss puts the Trojans at 27-3 overall and moves USC into tomorrow’s (April 30) third-place game against either No. 4 seeded Cal or top-seeded host UCLA at 12:45 p.m. at Spieker Aquatics Center in Westwood.

The No. 3 USC water polo team was decisive in securing a noter semifinal spot at the MPSF Tournament, rattling off 11 straight goals out of the gates en route to a 17-2 victory over No. 14 San José State today in Westwood. The quarterfinal win saw 12 different Trojans hit the back of the net, led by senior captain Avery Peterson's three-goal day. The win puts USC at 27-2 overall and carries the Trojans on to tomorrow's 12:45 p.m. semifinal against No. 2 Stanford at UCLA's Spieker Aquatics Center.
