USC Men, Women Open Home Schedule With Non-Conference Victories

The No. 12 USC swimming and diving teams, under a cloudless sky with 80-degree weather, turned in successful home-opening performance as the Trojan women defeated Florida Gulf Coast, 162-124, while the men downed CSU Bakersfield, 171-97.

Junior Dylan Carter won a pair of races on Saturday (Oct. 1), one of nine Trojans who also posted first-place finishes as the USC men’s swimming and diving team defeated host UC Santa Barbara, 179-78, to improve to 2-0 in its second road meet in as many days.

Vissering, Domagala Win Twice To Lead USC's Opening Victory At Cal Poly

Senior Michael Domagala and sophomore Carsten Vissering each won a pair of races while sophomore Walker Bell’s win in the 1000y free was a standout among other Trojan first-place swims as the USC men’s swimming and diving team opened the 2016-17 season with a 116-81 win at Cal Poly on Friday night (Sept. 30) in San Luis Obispo.
