South Carolina Sets 54-Hole Record at ANNIKA Intercollegiate

South Carolina women’s golf earned sixth-place honors at the 2016 ANNIKA Intercollegiate after posting a three-round score of 849 (-15), the lowest 54-hole mark in program history. The Gamecocks fired a final-round 285 (-3) Tuesday at Watson Course to finish one stroke outside of the top five and nine shots away from Southern Cal, which won the event after totaling an 840 (-24).

South Carolina women’s golfers Katelyn Dambaugh and Anita Uwadia remain in the top 10 at the 2016 ANNIKA Intercollegiate following two days of competition. The Gamecocks posted a 290 (+2) on Monday at Watson Course and will head into Tuesday’s final round in a tie for fourth place at 12-under (564) for the tournament.

Katelyn Dambaugh also made history on day one, as the senior standout carded a 64 (-8), the lowest round ever by a Gamecock.

South Carolina women’s golfers Katelyn Dambaugh and Isidora Nilsson concluded play at the 27th Women’s World Amateur Team Championship on Saturday. Dambaugh posted a final-round 69 (-3) to finish tied for 19th at 3-over 291 for the U.S., which claimed a sixth-place showing (574, -2), while Nilsson (T89, +20) and Chile placed in a tie for 45th at 50-over (626) for the tournament.
