Gamecocks Place 78 on SEC Winter Academic Honor Roll

A total of 78 South Carolina student-athletes from the basketball, equestrian and swimming/diving teams earned spots on the Southeastern Conference Winter Academic Honor Roll. The list includes 701 members who achieved a minimum 3.00 grade point average for the 2016 Spring, Summer and Fall semesters from the league’s 14 schools.

The University of South Carolina equestrian team breezed through the opening round of the 2017 NCEA Championship on Thursday, dropping South Dakota State 15-1, at the Extraco Events Center. With the win, the sixth-seeded Gamecocks advance to Friday's quarterfinals, where they will face No. 3 Auburn.
