Annual Equifest Kids Day Returns to OneWood Farm on Feb. 25

South Carolina's annual Equifest Kids Day returns on Saturday morning, February 25, as the Gamecock Equestrian team hosts Auburn at OneWood Farm in Blythewood. All equestrian events are free to the public, as are the activities for kids, which begin at 9 a.m. with the competition following at 10 a.m.



WACH FOX to Air Good Day Columbia LIVE from One Wood Farm on Wednesday

The University of South Carolina equestrian team is proud to host WACH's "Good Day Columbia" morning program live at One Wood Farm on Wednesday, Feb. 22. WACH sports anchor Courtney King will be on hand as Gamecock student-athletes demonstrate basic equestrian techniques live on air and promote Equifest Kids Day, scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 25.

The eighth-ranked University of South Carolina equestrian team trailed throughout the day but never gave up on Sunday afternoon, rallying for a 9-8 victory over No. 10 TCU at Turning Point Ranch. The victory is the fourth this season for the Gamecocks against a top-10 opponent.

The University of South Carolina equestrian team is back on the road this weekend for a pair of meets in the state of Texas. The Gamecocks face SEC rival Texas A&M on Friday at 11 a.m. CT (12 p.m. ET) and head north on Sunday to take on TCU at 10 a.m. CT (11 a.m. ET).

Gamecocks Continue Excellence in the Classroom

The University of South Carolina student-athletes completed another semester of achievement in the classroom. USC student-athletes earned a departmental GPA of 3.245 for the Fall 2016 semester. It marked the 20th-consecutive semester in which Gamecock student-athletes have combined for a GPA above 3.0.



Carolina Adds Exhibition Meets to Upcoming Schedule

The University of South Carolina equestrian team has added a pair of exhibition meets to the calendar as it begins preparations for the spring portion of the 2016-17 season. The Carolina western squad will face Ohio State on Saturday, Jan. 28, while the Gamecock hunt seat team will face Converse College. The meets will run simultaneously beginning at 10 a.m. at One Wood Farm and admission is free.
