Ohio Native Tyler Petrie Joins Carolina for 2017-18 Season

The University of South Carolina equestrian program is proud to announce that Tyler Petrie will join the Gamecocks in 2017-18. Petrie recently signed a National Letter of Intent to compete collegiately with head coach Boo Major and the three-time national champions.



Gamecocks Welcome Billi Brandner to Hunt Seat Squad

Head coach Boo Major is pleased to announce that Billi Brandner has signed a National Letter of Intent to ride collegiately with the University of South Carolina. Brandner is a hunt seat rider out of Weston, Mass.



Quinn Brandt Joins Gamecock Program for 2017-18

Head coach Boo Major is proud to announce the University of South Carolina equestrian program's 2017-18 schedule. The Gamecocks will compete in 12 regular-season events, including five home meets at One Wood Farm in Blythewood, and they will also host the 2018 SEC Equestrian Championship.



Taylor Kellam Joins Carolina for 2017-18 Season

The University of South Carolina equestrian program is excited to welcome Taylor Kellam to the 2017-18 roster. A native of De Pere, Wis., Kellam recently signed a National Letter of Intent to ride with head coach Boo Major and the Gamecocks beginning this fall.

Gamecock Student-Athletes Set For Graduation This Weekend

South Carolina Athletics celebrates 104 current and former student-athletes who will participate in graduation ceremonies this weekend at Colonial Life Arena. The Gamecocks have continued to excel in the classroom during the 2016-17 school year, as 90 student-athletes were named to the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll, while 78 earned a spot on the Winter Honor Roll. Student-athletes completed another semester of achievement in the classroom last fall, as the group combined for a departmental GPA of 3.245, marking the 20th-consecutive semester that the Gamecocks combined for a GPA above 3.0.

Gamecocks Place 78 on SEC Winter Academic Honor Roll

A total of 78 South Carolina student-athletes from the basketball, equestrian and swimming/diving teams earned spots on the Southeastern Conference Winter Academic Honor Roll. The list includes 701 members who achieved a minimum 3.00 grade point average for the 2016 Spring, Summer and Fall semesters from the league’s 14 schools.
