Wilson, No. 4 South Carolina Down Savannah State 99-38

A'ja Wilson scored 26 points and No. 4 South Carolina, which began the game with just nine players and then lost another, beat Savannah State 99-38 Sunday. The Gamecocks (10-1) announced before the game that senior point guard Bianca Cuevas-Moore will miss the season with an ACL injury. She hadn't played this season, but was said to be recovering. Senior guard Lindsey Spann missed her fourth straight game with a knee injury and Te'a Cooper remained out while appealing to the NCAA for a hardship waiver. The Gamecocks lost junior guard Doniyah Cliney to a foot injury in the first half.

South Carolina women’s basketball senior guard Bianca Cuevas-Moore is out for the remainder of the 2017-18 season with an ACL injury to her left knee, the team announced today. The Bronx, N.Y., native has not played in a game this season.

A'ja Wilson had her eighth double-double this year with 26 points and 15 rebounds, and No. 5 South Carolina put away College of Charleston 69-43 on Tuesday night. It was the third straight victory for the Gamecocks (9-1) since their lone loss to No. 3 Notre Dame on Nov. 26. South Carolina now takes an almost two-week break - and early on, it looked like it had begun the time off just a bit early. The Gamecocks opened 2 of 12 shooting with three turnovers and were only up 8-3 over the struggling Cougars (2-6). That's when Wilson got going with four straight baskets to build a double-digit lead that South Carolina would not relinquish.

Alexis Jennings had 21 points and 10 rebounds to lead No. 5 South Carolina to a 72-52 win over No. 14 Duke on Sunday. The Gamecocks (8-1) were missing two senior guards because of injuries, and Duke packed it in, hoping to force someone other than All-American A'ja Wilson to beat them. So when the double teams came, Wilson and her teammates were able to find their quieter frontcourt starter Jennings, and she cleaned up their misses. The junior had eight offensive rebounds.

A'ja Wilson scored 29 points and Alexis Jennings had 19 as No. 5 South Carolina bounced back from its first loss of the season with a 101-43 pummeling of Western Carolina on Thursday night. The Gamecocks (7-1) fell behind 2-0, then broke off a 17-0 run powered by the 6-foot-5 Wilson and 6-2 Jennings that put the game out of reach for the Catamounts (1-5) of the Southern Conference. Wilson and Jennings combined to score the team's first eight points then never let up against their overmatched opponent. It was a welcome beatdown for South Carolina, which fell to No. 3 Notre Dame 92-85 in the finals of the Gulf Coast Showcase.

Arike Ogunbowale scored 23 points, Jackie Young added 22 and No. 6 Notre Dame beat No. 3 South Carolina 92-85 on Sunday night to take the Gulf Coast Showcase championship and snap the defending national champion Gamecocks' 17-game winning streak. Marina Mabrey scored 12 points and Jessica Shepard had 10 for the Irish (6-0), They trailed by 12 points early in the second quarter and then went on a 37-12 run over the next 14 minutes. A'ja Wilson had a career-best 34 points for South Carolina (6-1), which hadn't lost since Feb. 19. Alexis Jennings and Doniyah Cliney each scored 12 points for the Gamecocks.
