Mitchell Named Among NCAA Today's Top 10

South Carolina women's basketball alumna Tiffany Mitchell is among 10 exceptional former student-athletes the NCAA will honor as the 2017 Today's Top 10 Award winners at the NCAA Convention in Nashville in January. Mitchell was a three-time All-American and University President's Award winner who graduated in May 2016 with a 3.63 GPA in retail management. She was taken in the first round of the WNBA Draft by the Indiana Fever and earned WNBA All-Rookie honors in her first professional season.



Wilson's Career Night Elevates Gamecocks To 76-67 Win Over No. 14/15 Texas

No. 3/3 South Carolina earned its second win over a top-15 opponent in five days, defeating No. 14/15 Texas 76-67 Thursday night at the Frank Erwin Center behind a career-high 31 points from junior A'ja Wilson. The forward's dominant performance included her first double-double of the season, as she grabbed 12 rebounds to go along with a team-high four blocks. The Gamecocks moved to 6-0 with the victory, while the Longhorns dropped to 2-3 on the season.



Coates and Wilson Selected To Wade Watch List

For the second-straight season, South Carolina women's basketball standouts Alaina Coates and A'ja Wilson have been named to the "Wade Watch" list, the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) announced Thursday morning. The Gamecocks are one of six teams to boast multiple student-athletes on the 25-player list.

The victory marked the second win over a top-10 opponent this season for the Gamecocks, who moved to 5-0 on the year. Louisville suffered its first loss of the season, dropping to 6-1.

Five Gamecocks finished in double-figures for the second-straight night for No. 3/3 South Carolina, which cruised to a 93-38 win over Saint Peter's Tuesday night in the final game of the Basketball Hall of Fame Women's Challenge at Colonial Life Arena. The Gamecock frontcourt duo of senior Alaina Coates and junior A'ja Wilson combined for 30 points and 13 field goals, while junior guard Allisha Gray stuffed the stat sheet with 13 points and eight rebounds to go along with a team-high five assists. The Gamecocks improved to 4-0 following the victory, notching their second win of at least 50 points this season.
