Ten Gamecocks earned spots on the All-SEC Swimming & Diving Teams, the league office announced on Thursday. South Carolina's Akram Mahmoud, Fynn Minuth, Julia Vincent, Emma Barksdale, Brandon Almeida, Cody Bekemeyer, Tom Peribonio, Nils Wich-Glasen, Rafael Davila and Karlee Price each earned spots on the All-SEC Teams.

Akram Mahmoud became just the third swimmer in school history to garner four straight All-America honors in a single event as South Carolina tallied three more All-America performances on the final day of the 2018 NCAA Championships.

South Carolina men's swimming collected three more All-America performances to make up ground in the overall team standings on the third night of the 2018 NCAA Championships including a fourth-place finish in the 400 IM from freshman, Brandonn Almeida. Tom Peribonio also earned honorable mention All-America honors in the 400 IM B final while Itay Goldfaden made it into the 100 breast B final, finishing in 11th overall with a 52.36 finals time.

South Carolina men's swimming picked up its first two All-America performances of the 2018 NCAA Championships as Akram Mahmoud and Fynn Minuth each qualified for Thursday night's finals session in the 500 free. Mahmoud followed up a win in heat five of prelims with a 4:12.14 in the A-final to finish in fifth-place while Minuth finished third in the B-final with a 4:14.05.

University of South Carolina swimming and diving posted its first podium finish of the 2018 NCAA Championships as Julia Vincent came up just shy of an individual title with a second-place finish in the 1-meter dive, capping off the night with a finals score of 333.50 to secure her All-America status.

University of South Carolina swimming set another pair of meet records over the final two days of the CSCAA National Invitational with Christina Lappin's 53.18 in the women's 100 fly and Will Riggs's 1:44.91 in the men's 200 fly. Lappin and Riggs both finished atop the podium of each respective event to contribute to the Gamecocks' seven total first-place finishes over the three-day meet.

University of South Carolina swimming posted three podium finishes, including a first-place finish from Allen Ross in the men's 50-yard freestyle final, on the first day of the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) National Invitational on Thursday at the United States Naval Academy. On the women's side, Christina Lappin's meet-record 22.39 in the 50-yard freestyle prelims set the tone.

University of South Carolina junior Mikaela Lujan became the second Gamecock diver to qualify for the NCAA Championships with a sixth-place finish in the women's platform competition on Wednesday, the final day of the NCAA Zone B Championships. South Carolina finished atop the overall women's team standings with 62.00 team points while the Gamecocks ended the competition in fifth place in the combined men's and women's overall standings.

University of South Carolina diver Julia Vincent qualified for her second event in the upcoming NCAA Division I Swimming & Diving Championships by winning the women's 3-meter dive on day two of the NCAA Zone B Diving Championships on Tuesday. Vincent won the 1-meter dive for a second year in a row to qualify for the NCAA Championships in that event on day one competition on Monday.
