The USD cross-country team is a small program that has high aspirations to grow in their Division I training and racing platform. Their growth is fueled by tools needed to log and race our miles. At this competitive level, the contributions will fund up to two shoes per student-athlete on the XC team.

The USD men's and women's cross-country teams wrapped up their regular season at the NCAA Division I West Regional Friday afternoon at Haggin Oaks Golf Complex in Sacramento. The women's team, paced by Andrea Hughes, finished in 22nd place (out of 35 schools). The men's team took 27th place led by Liam Burke's record breaking performance in the 10k

Toreros Take Sixth Place at WCC XC Championships

Racing on their home course at Mission Bay, the USD women's cross-country team took sixth place at the WCC Championships, improving from their seventh place finish a season ago. The Torero men finished in ninth place. Andrea Hughes led the women's team, finishing the 6k in 22:21.6. Liam Burke was the top Torero finisher for the men's team, crossing the finish line in 25:44.8 in the 8k.

The USD men's and women's cross-country teams will compete in the WCC Championships at Mission Bay (Tecolote Shores Park) on Friday, marking the first time the race has been held in San Diego. Toreros Claim Fifth Place at Bronco Invite

The USD cross-country teams kicked up dust Saturday morning at the Bronco Invitational. Juniors Max Pedrotti (24:46) and Liam Burke (24:57) set the pace for the day by shattering the previous 8k school record of 25:10, crossing the finish line in 55th and 63rd overall. The men's team finished in 12th (out of 18 teams), while the women took fifth out of 20 teams.

Women's XC Team Shows Speed at Paul Short Invite

The USD men's and women's cross-country teams competed in the Paul Short Invite Saturday morning at Lehigh University. Racing in a very large field with numerous strong programs, the women's team proved they belong with a 21st place team finish (out of 45 schools) in the 6k, led by Sam Mattice's time of 21:09. The men's team struggled and came in 38th place.

The USD Men's and Women's Cross Country teams are hosting the USD Invite this Saturday at Mission Bay. The Men's 8km race will begin at 8:00 a.m. while the Women's race will start at 9:00 a.m. This will be the site of the 2016 WCC Championships (Oct. 28), which is the same course where the 2008 and 2011 USA Cross Country National Championships were held.
