Former USD women's tennis player Laura Claus' commitment to social justice were sown during her days as a standout student-athlete at USD. A triple major in psychology, finance and business administration, she also was a key contributor to the women’s tennis program, compiling an impressive overall record of 132-81 (singles and doubles) and helping lead the Toreros to a West Coast Conference title in 2013.

Gemma Garcia Dominates in First Two Days of Competition

On Friday and Saturday the Toreros competed in the Beach Tennis Fall Tournament. At the end of the second day four women qualified to compete in final championship rounds. Gemma Garcia dominated in the first two days of competition. She defeated EWU's Heinen 6-4, 6-3 on Friday in singles play and beat GCU's Occhipinti (6-2, 5-7, 6-0) and LMU's Anderson (6-2, 5-7, 6-0) on Saturday.
