Kim Cupini named head coach of SMU women’s rowing program

Kim Cupini, the Toreros’ head women’s rowing coach for the past ten seasons, has accepted the head coaching position at Southern Methodist University. Since taking over in 2007, Cupini transformed the Toreros’ women’s rowing program in to a powerhouse. A five-time WCC Coach of the Year, Cupini won four WCC Championships (2010, 2011, 2012 & 2014) and helped the Toreros finish amongst the nation’s top 20 in the final polls twice (2014 & 2015).

Uche Anyanwu named to CRCA All-American team

This is the fifth year in a row the Toreros have had a representative on the All-American team. Anyanwu was a second team honoree in 2017 after being named to the first team in 2016.

Uche Anyanwu earns All-Region honors

Anyanwu has already been named the WCC Rower of the Year and has a chance to make the CRCA All-American team as well, an honor she took home last year. This is the tenth time a Torero has made the All-Region team since 2007.

Five rowers named CRCA Scholar Athletes
