Uche Anyanwu named to CRCA All-American team

This is the fifth year in a row the Toreros have had a representative on the All-American team. Anyanwu was a second team honoree in 2017 after being named to the first team in 2016.



Uche Anyanwu earns All-Region honors

Anyanwu has already been named the WCC Rower of the Year and has a chance to make the CRCA All-American team as well, an honor she took home last year. This is the tenth time a Torero has made the All-Region team since 2007.



Five rowers named CRCA Scholar Athletes

Goodman, Hoggatt and Lester earned the recognition for the third time in their careers. It was the second time Wittenberg has been honored and Vada Thomas, who just finished her sophomore season, was recognized for the first time.



Toreros Take Second Across the Board at WCC Championships

The Toreros faced tough competition at the WCC Championships Saturday morning. They fell to their long time rival Gonzaga in all three races for the first time in over six years.



Five Toreros recognized for WCC All-Academic honors

The West Coast Conference is pleased to announce the 2016-17 West Coast Conference Women's Rowing All-Academic Team. San Diego senior Meredith Hoggatt was the lone WCC student-athlete recognized as a first team recipient for the third time, while senior Megan Goodman was one of three student-athletes named to the first team for the second time.



Toreros look to make waves at WCC Championships

The WCC championships will kick off with the Varsity Four racing at 9:00 a.m. The Eights will begin at 9:20 a.m. with the 2V8, then the Varsity Eight will wrap up the championships at 9:40 a.m. Results for all races will be posted to the WCC's Twitter Page @WCCSports.



Toreros Compete in the Dale England Cup at Indiana

The Toreros finally got on the water after weather delays and cancelations at Indiana University for the Dale England Cup. The Toreros were originally scheduled to race twice on Saturday, but due to thunderstorms and rain they only raced once Saturday morning. The Toreros were joined by the No. 16 host, Notre Dame and No. 17 Duke.

Due to thunder storms and wind the races scheduled for Friday evening have been cancelled. The morning races on Saturday have been pushed to begin at 10:30 a.m.



San Diego Competes in the Dale Cup at Indiana

The Toreros compete in the Dale England Cup at Indiana University on Friday evening and Saturday morning. This weekend is the last time the women will race before their WCC Championships in May. Due to stormy weather conditions the racing has been pushed forward to Frida evening and Saturday morning.



San Diego Wins the 2V8+ Event

Day two of the San Diego Crew Classic was a sunny and calm. The water conditions were glassy throughout the morning with a light breeze picking up in the afternoon. The Torero women competed in their championship races in the varsity eight, second varsity eight, varsity four and open eight.



Toreros Match Up Against Top Crews

The Toreros women went up against top crews in all their races Saturday morning. Conditions were sunny and flat throughout the morning with wind picking up into the afternoon. San Diego's V8+ and 2V8+ qualified for the Petite Final and the V4+ made the Grand Final on Sunday.



Toreros Set Up For Competitive Racing at Crew Classic

The Toreros compete in the annual San Diego Crew Classic this weekend on Mission Bay. The women's varsity eight, second varsity eight, varsity four and open eight will compete on Saturday for a spot in the grand finals on Sunday.
