USD Basketball to host Halloween Hoopla

The USD men's and women's basketball teams are excited to announce they will host a Halloween Hoopla Sunday October 29 from 12:30-2:00 p.m. inside the Jenny Craig Pavilion. The event is free for all kids

Head Coach Cindy Fisher (13th season) and her staff are excited about the depth and athleticism of this year's squad. The Toreros return three players who made at least 20 starts a season ago. Maya Hood is also back after receiving a medical redshirt last season after suffering a knee injury.

Mary Ann Falcosky promoted to USD Women’s Basketball Associate Head Coach

Falcosky has been a key part of USD winning at least 20 games in five seasons of the past six seasons. In that six-year span, USD has recorded a .697 win percentage (136-59), the second best amongst all Division I schools in California, trailing only Stanford.



Meet the Toreros: Kat Olczak

This past season Kat helped Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College to a 23-2 record and national ranking of 10th among junior colleges in the country. The team advanced to the Junior College National Tournament where they advanced to the second round before falling to Trinity Valley.



Women’s Basketball schedule released

The Toreros’ schedule features ten games against teams who appeared in either the 2017 NCAA or WNIT postseason tournament. USD play an extremely competitive non-conference schedule highlighted by games against San Diego State, California and Minnesota in addition to matchups against Boise State and Hawai’i in Honolulu.



Meet the Toreros: Myah Pace

Pace, a 5’10” combo guard from Bishop O’Dowd High School in Oakland, led her team to the West Alameda County Conference League Championship and to the NCS Division Three Title Game last season. She averaged a double-double, scoring 15 points per game and collecting 12 boards a game. She became just the second player in Bishop O’Dowd’s history to tally 1,000 career points and 1,000 career rebounds.

WCC Announces 2017-18 Conference Schedule

The West Coast Conference announced its 2017-18 women's basketball conference schedule on Wednesday. The race for the WCC regular season crown will be contested over a nine-week span, and consist of a double round-robin format. Conference play is slated to begin on Thursday, December 28, 2017 and will conclude on Saturday, February 24, 2016.
