USD Football Pro Day on Thursday at 2:30 p.m.

The USD football team will host its annual Pro Day on Thursday, March 23rd, beginning with check-in at 2:00 pm. Seven players from the 2016 Pioneer Football League Championship team, along with two previous Toreros, are expected to participate in both weight room and on-field workouts in front of a handful of NFL scouts.



Torero Offense Dominates Blue-White Game

The USD football team held its annual Blue-White game today at Torero Stadium. Played in great weather and before a strong turnout of family members and alumni, the 60+ play controlled scrimmage between the offense and defense was a spirited outing.

Legendary Football Coach Dave Adolph Passes Away At 79

Dave Adolph, who served as USD’s Defensive Coordinator and Linebackers Coach from 2004-2007, died this past Sunday. He was 79. He came onboard in Jim Harbaugh’s first season in 2004, and stayed through Ron Caragher’s first campaign in 2007.



Torero Football begins Spring Drills on Tuesday

The USD football team, under the direction of head coach Dale Lindsey, will begin their spring workouts on Tuesday, February 7th, with the first of fifteen scheduled practices. Tuesday's first practice will run from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Manchester Athletic Field.



40 Toreros selected to 2016 PFL Academic Honor Roll

The Pioneer Football League has recognized 576 student-athletes from its 11 member institutions to the Fall 2016 PFL Academic Honor Roll. The University of San Diego Toreros, the 2016 PFL Champions, placed 40 student-athletes on the honor roll.



Hodges named an Amateur Star of the Year

Record books across the country took a beating from a quartet of college standouts who call San Diego home. USD’s Jonah Hodges, along with Donnel Pumphrey (SDSU), Kelsey Plum (UW) and Calvin Munson (SDSU) will be honored as Amateur Stars of the Year at the 71st Salute to the Champions on Feb. 21 at the Town & Country Resort and Convention Center.



Jamal Agnew to play in 2017 NFLPA Collegiate Bowl

USD Football Ranked No. 19 in final FCS Poll

The USD football team was ranked No. 19 in the final STATS FCS Top 25 poll of the season, the highest season-ending ranking in program history. The Toreros finished the year 10-2 and a perfect 8-0 in the PFL. USD won at Cal Poly 35-21 in the first round of the FCS Playoffs, giving the Toreros, a non-scholarship program, their first playoff win.



Max Michaels Named To 19th Annual FCS ADA Academic All-Star Team

The 44 winners of the 19th annual Football Championship Subdivision Athletics Directors Association (FCS ADA) Academic All-Star Team were announced by the FCS ADA, today. USD junior nickel back Max Michaels (Poway, CA) was selected from the Torero football team.
