The Georgetown University women's lacrosse squad (4-6, 2-0 BIG EAST) remaining unbeaten in BIG EAST Conference play with a 14-6 win over the University of Connecticut Huskies (3-6, 0-2 BIG EAST) on Saturday at the George J. Sherman Family-Sports Complex. The contest closed out a four-game road trip for the Blue & Gray.

Hoya Comeback Falls Short At Loyola

The Georgetown University women's lacrosse squad (3-6) closed out nonconference play with an 11-7 loss to the Loyola University (Md.) Greyhounds (2-6) on Wednesday at the Ridley Athletic Complex. The Hoyas staged a late run to pull within three, but could not complete the comeback.

The Georgetown University women's lacrosse squad (3-5) will travel to Baltimore, Md., to take on the Loyola University (Md.) Greyhounds (1-6) on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Ridley Athletic Complex. Additionally, on Tuesday, senior captains Kate Snouffer (Baltimore, Md./Bryn Mawr School) and Jenny Schwalje (Setauket, N.Y./St. Anthony’s) were both named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for their efforts the week prior.

The Georgetown University women's lacrosse squad (3-5, 1-0 BIG EAST used a big first-half run to defeat the Butler University Bulldogs (1-8, 0-1 BIG EAST), 18-2, on Saturday at Varsity Field in Indianapolis, Ind. The contest was the BIG EAST Conference opener for both squads, and the first league game in program history for the Bulldogs.

Hoyas Fall to No. 18/18 Johns Hopkins in Overtime

The Georgetown University women’s lacrosse team (1-4) forced overtime, but could not get the win falling 11-10 to the No. 18/18 Johns Hopkins University Blue Jays (4-1) on Wednesday evening at Homewood Field. A goal in the final minute of regulation forced the extra period, but Hopkins scored the sudden victory goal just 1:30 in.



Georgetown Student-Athletes Participate in Cycle for Survival

Last weekend, Georgetown student-athletes traded in their cleats, sticks and racquets for a two-wheeled vehicle as more than six teams participated in the Cycle for Survival at Equinox in Bethesda, Md. The event has become an annual tradition for many of the squads that use physical fitness to raise funds and awareness for rare cancers.

Georgetown Drops Decision to No. 17/18 Towson

The Georgetown University women's lacrosse squad (1-3) could not overcome a second-half run, falling to the No. 17/18 Towson University Tigers (2-2), 13-8, on Wednesday afternoon at Cooper Field. It was a physical game with 70 total fouls and 13 yellow cards between the two teams.
