Goodman courses. The men's team finished second in just its second race of the season while the women placed fourth in what was also their second meet of the 2011 campaign.

The Hoyas handily took first place in the team competition with 20 points followed by the Cavaliers on their home course with 72 points. GU recorded a stellar performance with six of the top eight donning the blue and gray.

This is the first-ever appearance as the top women's team in the country according to the nation's coaches. The men's team was tabbed preseason No. 22 and third in the Mid-Atlantic region while the women took the top spot in the region.

A volunteer assistant during the 2010-11 season, Stewart begins his second season on the Hilltop as an assistant and continues to work with the sprinters, hurdlers and jumpers.

The men's team was one of 90 squads to qualify for the annual honor while the women were one of 164 institutions to garner the accolades.

To be named to the list, a student-athlete had to carry a 3.25 cumulative grade point average (GPA) and either rank in the top 96 of an indoor championship event or qualify for the preliminary rounds of the 2011 NCAA Outdoor Championships.
