Facing four different opponents, the squad had a number of impressive individual results led by the pair of senior Yannick Mahlangu (Henderson, Nev./Green Valley High School) and junior Peter Beatty (Portland, Ore./Middlesex School) who were dominant at No. 2 doubles.

The unseeded player battled through six matches to capture the title in Boston, Mass. He will come to the Hilltop and play for Head Coach Gordie Ernst this fall.

Additionally, 11 Hoyas received 2016 ITA Scholar-Athlete recognition including seven on the women’s side and four on the men’s.
Fri, 01 Jul 2016 11:02:00 EDTGeorgetown University Head Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach Gordie Ernst has named Dillon Pottish the new assistant coach for both squads for the 2016-17 school year. Pottish comes to the Hilltop from Emory University where he was a graduate assistant for the Eagles for two years. Pottish will assist Ernst in all aspects of both the men’s and women’s programs.
