Rechan and Witmer Win Flights at Navy Invitational

The Georgetown University men's tennis team closed out the fall season at the Navy Invitational this past weekend. Junior Mac Rechan (Clayton, Mo./Clayton) and freshman Ian Witmer (North Palm Beach, Fla./The Benjamin School) both won their flights, and the pair of Witmer and sophomore Michael Chen (Holmdel, N.J./Holmdel High School) won a doubles flight for the squad to end the fall on a high note.



Hoyas Compete at ITA Regionals

The Georgetown men’s tennis team competed at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Regionals in Blacksburg, Va., at Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center on the campus of Virginia Tech this past weekend. With five singles competitors and three doubles pairs, Georgetown had three of the singles players advance to the second round as well as all three pairs.

Junior Mac Rechan (Clayton, Mo./Clayton) and freshman Ian Witmer (North Palm Beach, Fla./The Benjamin School) won the C flight as the Georgetown University men’s tennis squad competed at the Farnsworth Invitational this weekend in Princeton, N.J., at the Jadwin Indoor Center. The pair won their draw, and a number of Hoyas had success as the Blue & Gray gears up for ITA Regional this week.



Men’s Tennis Competes at Penn Invitational

The Georgetown University men's tennis team competed at the Penn Invitational in Philadelphia, Pa., this past weekend. Facing four different opponents, the squad had a number of impressive individual results led by the pair of senior Yannick Mahlangu (Henderson, Nev./Green Valley High School) and junior Peter Beatty (Portland, Ore./Middlesex School) who were dominant at No. 2 doubles.



Hoyas Sweep UDC, 9-0

The Georgetown University men's tennis team opened the 2016-17 season with a match at the University of the District of Columbia on Wednesday afternoon. The Hoyas managed the 9-0 victory to begin the year.
