Hoyas Have 27 Named to Patriot League Academic Honor Roll

The Georgetown University football program had 27 student-athletes named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll when the league office announced the list on Friday. Overall, the Patriot League had a record 233 student-athletes earn football academic honors.

Hoya Alum Jake DeCicco Appears on ABC's Shark Tank

Georgetown University football alum Jake DeCicco (B'16) graduated from the Hilltop in GU's career top 10 for both receptions (142) and receiving yards (1,609). Like most Georgetown graduates, DeCicco had a job lined up for after college. However, his plan was to continue to grow the company he had started with his brother in 2015, SUNNIVA Super Coffee.

Football Adds 23 on National Signing Day

Head Coach Rob Sgarlata and the Georgetown University football team announced its 28-member recruiting class on National Signing Day. The Georgetown Class of 2022 includes 23 student-athletes who signed their National Letters of Intent (NLIs) on Wednesday, and five who signed with the Blue & Gray during the early signing period in December. In all, GU adds 15 student-athletes on defense, 11 on offense and two on special teams.

Football Announces Patrick Murphy as Offensive Coordinator

Georgetown University Football Head Coach Rob Sgarlata has announced the addition of Patrick Murphy to the coaching staff. Murphy, who brings more than 20 years of coaching experience to the Hilltop, will serve as GU's offensive coordinator.

Football Begins Annual Super Star Olympics

On Monday evening, the Georgetown University football team kicked off its annual Super Star Olympics with the selections of the six teams via a draft, held in the Thompson Athletics Center. Rising seniors served as team captains, selecting rosters of players being ranked based on their numbers in the weight room.

Neugebauer Relishes Opportunity Coaching U.S. Under-19 Select Team

On Friday, Jan. 12, Georgetown University Football Assistant Coach Adam Neugebauer switched out his Georgetown blue and gray for the red, white and blue of the United States Under-19 Select Team. Neugebauer served as the head coach for the 2018 International Bowl and led the U.S. team to a resounding, 48-13, victory over Team Nordic which consisted of players from Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Norway. The game took place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, home of the Dallas Cowboys.

Football Signs Five During Early Signing Period

Head Coach Rob Sgarlata and the Georgetown University football team have announced the signing of five student-athletes to National Letters of Intent (NLI) during the December early signing period. The Hoyas have added four offensive and one defensive player, consisting of two offensive lineman, a tight end, a wide receiver and a defensive back, who will join the Blue & Gray next fall as members of Georgetown's Class of 2022.

Hoyas Spread Holiday Cheer Throughout the Year

Members of the Georgetown University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics were active in the campus community and beyond all fall. Teams and staff participated in numerous events to benefit local charities as well as reaching those in need worldwide.



Khristian Tate Named All-ECAC Second Team

Georgetown University football sophomore defensive lineman Khristian Tate was named to the All-Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Second Team, as announced on Thursday. To be eligible for this honor, which recognizes the top FCS players on the East Coast, a student-athlete must have been an all-conference first team selection.
