CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The George Washington women's squash squad won two matches at the top of the ladder but ultimately fell, 7-2, to No. 13 Virginia in the 13/14 playoff of the Kurtz Cup (B-Division) on Sunday afternoon at Harvard's Murr Center squash courts. The Colonials end the season ranked 14th in the nation.

Women's Squash Completes Road Trip in Connecticut

NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- After spending a month on the road, the George Washington women's squash squad closed its weekend in Connecticut on Sunday morning with an 8-1 loss to No. 6 Columbia. The Colonials pushed two of their matches to four or more games while freshman Vedkia Arunachalam took the sole win for GW at the No. 9 position on the ladder.

After opening their spring slate undefeated, the George Washington women's squash squad saw their three-match win streak snapped in Massachusetts, falling to No. 8 Cornell on Friday evening (7-2) and again on Saturday afternoon to No. 14 Williams (7-2). Despite the pair of loses, senior co-captain Abby Shonrock and freshman Zoe Foo Yuk Han completed a perfect weekend. The duo now shares the team lead with eight victories on the season.
