RICHMOND, Va. -- At E.J. Wade Arena at the Stuart C. Siegel Center on Saturday afternoon, the George Washington men's basketball team sought to do something it had only done once before. Win at VCU. Traditionally one of the toughest places to play not just in the Atlantic 10, but in the nation, GW had it going early in the hostile environment and battled the Rams in the first 20 minutes of action by exchanging haymakers worthy of a prize fight.



W. Squash. No. 12 Women’s Squash Falls in Pair of Matches

After opening their spring slate undefeated, the George Washington women’s squash squad saw their three-match win streak snapped in Massachusetts, falling to No. 8 Cornell on Friday evening (7-2) and again on Saturday afternoon to No. 14 Williams (7-2). Despite the pair of loses, senior co-captain Abby Shonrock and freshman Zoe Foo Yuk Han completed a perfect weekend. The duo now shares the team lead with eight victories on the season.

Smith Center in the first of two annual meetings between George Washington and George Mason, the homestanding Colonials of GW made sure that Paulsen's Patriots can't call it a rivalry for at least one more match-up. In remaining unbeaten against George Mason as A-10 conference brethren (9-0), GW snapped a four-game slide and pulled to within a game of .500 with a thorough 80-68 win against its nearby neighbor.
