Colorado State's 2016-17 tennis season came to a close on Thursday afternoon, falling to the Air Force Falcons, 5-1, in the opening round of the Mountain West Championship. CSU concludes its season -- the first under head coach Jarod Camerota -- with a 9-14 mark, the most wins since 2011. Air Force (17-9), playing as the No. 7 seed, will advance to face No. 2-seed Fresno State on Friday.

Colorado State's tennis match vs. IUPUI on Sunday has been moved up two hours, to 10 a.m. MT, due to forecasted weather. On Saturday, the Rams defeated South Dakota, 4-2, to earn their seventh win of the season and second consecutive at home. Sunday's match will be played at the University Tennis Complex (2400 Research Blvd.). Admission is free.

The Colorado State tennis program earned its seventh victory of the season on Saturday afternoon, defeating the visiting South Dakota Coyotes, 4-2, at the University Tennis Complex. The match was the Rams' third home contest of the season and first in nearly a month, and was the team's annual Orange Out, representing the school's original colors of pumpkin and alfalfa. The Rams (7-10) rallied after losing the doubles point, winning four of the five singles matches to clinch the match.

Colorado State's tennis program will host two Summit League teams this weekend with the South Dakota Coyotes and IUPUI Jaguars visiting Fort Collins. Saturday's meeting vs. South Dakota will be the second in three seasons, with the Rams winning, 5-2, in 2015 in Fort Collins. The Rams and Jaguars have never met on the tennis court.
