The 6-1 victory was the third in a row at home and capped a 2-0 weekend. The win also upped the Rams' season total to eight.

On Saturday, the Rams defeated South Dakota, 4-2, to earn their seventh win of the season and second consecutive at home. The match was the Rams' third home contest of the season and first in nearly a month, and was the team's annual Orange Out, representing the school's original colors of pumpkin and alfalfa. The Rams (7-10) rallied after losing the doubles point, winning four of the five singles matches to clinch the match.

Saturday's meeting vs. South Dakota will be the second in three seasons, with the Rams winning, 5-2, in 2015 in Fort Collins. The Rams and Jaguars have never met on the tennis court.
