Dilemma, what should we do?

Our family (Me, DH, DS2, My mom, My Brother) went on our first DCL cruise in Sept 09. It was just a 3-nighter. We all liked it very much and would love to cruise again. Only problem is, we are cheap, lol. We'd like to do more than just 3-4 nights though since the 3 nights was just not long...

Alaska cruise verandah

We plan on going on the Alaska cruise in 2011 and are wondering about the benefits of our own veranda. I understand a lot of time is spent on deck looking at scenery, but if we had our own verandah, would it be so much better comfort wise, or would we miss a lot?
