I'm thinking about going to the fort in a pop up without a/c. What would the best month for weather be, so sleeping is comfortable? Our son is in a wheel chair. Will it be easy to maneuver in a wheelchair ie, gravel, pavement, dirt/sand? Is there a quiet pool? How is the bug situation? Does...

Loading and unloading personal golf carts at FW

Wed, 08 Feb 2012 22:29:38 GMT

We will be bringing our golf cart to The Fort next year when we visit. It will be in the bed of our pickup. Does FW have ramps to assist in unloading and loading personal golf carts. We visit Ocean Lakes in Myrtle beach every year and they have a great ramp for guests to use. Tks

Since our first family trip in 2007, we have fallen in love with the Fort. The problem is, that I've always known way in advance of when we were traveling and have not had a problem getting a reservation. We have been itching to go now since about October, and each short notice trip has been put...

Tent camping in Tent Site vs a Premium or Preferred Site

Sat, 04 Feb 2012 05:12:57 GMT

I'm trying to book a site for a weekend sometime in April or May, and the only ones that are coming up are Premiums or Preferred. I don't mind paying a little extra, but I'm tent camping and would prefer not to be surrounded by RV's. Are any of the Premiums or Preferred tent loops?

Are there any picnic tables there? We are not staying at the Fort but thought it would be a nice break from our day at MK to take the boat over and have an early dinner of fried chicken.

So we have been posting a lot about going in August with our ds 5 and our soon to be DS who will be two months old. Everyone on the them park thread said it would be a very bad idea with the heat and crowds. I am still not sure if we wont do it, but if we dont we have the possibility of going the...
