As of Thursday morning, the 117 Fire was holding steady at nearly 41,000 acres and was 60 percent contained, according to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.

The 117 Fire, as it has been called, has burned at least 10 structures in El Paso County and moved into Pueblo County Tuesday night, putting the Pueblo Chemical Depot on pre-evacuation notice.

Authorities say a man arrested outside a Beverly Hills home owned by Taylor Swift was wearing a mask and rubber gloves, had a knife, rope and ammunition, and told police he had driven from his Colorado home to see the singer who was not there at the time.

Jennifer Riordan, a mother of two, was well known in New Mexico, where she had built a career over more than two decades in community relations and communications after graduating from the University of New Mexico.

The dead woman was identified as Jennifer Riordan, a Wells Fargo bank executive and mother of two from Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was the first passenger killed in an accident involving a U.S. airline since 2009. The seven other victims suffered minor injuries.

Wind gusts of up to 80 miles per hour shut down several highways in Colorado and created bad air quality and low visibility because of blowing dust.

Southbound I-25 was shut down at the intersection with Highway 119 near Longmont shortly before 2:30 p.m. after a semi-truck was blown over and due to low visibility in the area.
