Cost of budget accommodation in Asian countries

Sun, 15 Jan 2017 19:31:38 GMT

Those who have spent time in Asia, please share how much a person needs to pay for budget accommodation in various places in Asia. I like my own room with a bathroom. You may also share prices on dorm accommodation, as others may be interested. I mean budget accommodation. Some people go somewhere for one week, and don't mind spending $200 a night or more. I like to travel for several months at a time, which is unaffordable if you pay that ... [Posted by aus89 - Jan 15, 11:31]

Koh Samui - Thailand with 4 and 6 year old

Tue, 10 Jan 2017 07:15:40 GMT

Hi all, Not quite a true travellers email but wondered if anyone had experience of Koh Samui? Contemplating going with the family for summer holiday in June. Research suggests weather will be hot and humid but still ok to go with the odd evening rain shower. I'm quite active when I go away, normally renting a car. What do people think about it with a 4 and 6 year old? Beaches are good for them, but wondering if you can sea kayak with ... [Posted by Kingwindle - Jan 09, 23:15]

Need advices for guesthouse in Japan

Mon, 09 Jan 2017 09:49:23 GMT

Hello everyone, Happy new year! I and my family are going to Kyoto next month. We are planning to book a place to stay for 4 days 3 nights. And we are confusing whether to choose a guesthouse instead of an expensive hotel. Many pages said it would be interesting as the guesthouse in Japan is traditional and has good facilities. We’ve never stayed in any guesthouse before so it is kind of nervous for us. Please let me know which one is a ... [Posted by NgọcS - Jan 09, 01:49]

How to watch the super Bowl in Hanoi

Wed, 04 Jan 2017 18:26:22 GMT

Is anyone aware of a place that will be open for the American football Super Bowl in Hanoi. It is February 5 at 330 pm so if my understanding is correct it will be on February 6 at 330 am. I'm assuming all normal places will be closed, just hoping someone could offer insight as to where I could go to watch it without just streaming it online. There's gotta be a football lover somewhere there. I know jaspas will ... [Posted by Eliberg434 - Jan 04, 10:26]

Wed, 04 Jan 2017 14:55:08 GMT

Hello, We are planning to go to the Philippines next week. As we are on a longer trip in Asia, normally, we don't plan ahead and just work things out on the way. However, as we read, it may not be easy to be spontaneous in the Philippines due to expensive last-minute ferry and flight tickets among different islands. Could you please share the tips on island hopping, other than plan everything carefully in advance? How to find cheaper transportation options? ... [Posted by baldinakta - Jan 04, 06:55]
