East Timor (Timor Leste) safety situation

Sun, 02 Jul 2017 18:02:15 GMT

Hello, Has anyone travelled to East Timor lately and could comment on the real safety situation at the moment? Official U.K., U.S. and Australian travel safety websites do not sound promising, but how is it in reality? I read that it wasn't too bad back in 2013, but got worse after UN forces left. Please, share your experience. Which places / destinations have you visited and how expensive is accommodation, motorbike rental? How big chances are to get dengue or malaria there? ... Papua New Guinea - any info would help!

Thu, 29 Jun 2017 15:51:37 GMT

Hello, Has anyone been to Papua New Guinea recently (or even not so recently)? Which are the destinations to be visited, is it really that expensive? Would appreciate any practical tips: how to find transportation, security issues, to take an "excursion" or better try to see things by yourself, etc. As there seems to be not so much info about the country, any info about any area would help. Thanks in advance, Dovile ... [Posted by baldinakta - Jun 29, 07:51]

Seeking travel companion/s - destination Goa!

Fri, 16 Jun 2017 12:10:05 GMT

For my next trip (early 2018) I am going to stay nine to ten weeks in the Palolem area of South Goa, India. Possibly Palolem itself, but more likely Patnem or Agonda. They're all so close anyway it hardly makes a difference! It would be good to already be in touch with people round and about, and if we click perhaps we could travel together to other bits of India. Over the years I've spent a lot of time in ... [Posted by katadolph - Jun 16, 04:10]
