So we have booked our honeymoon and are off to Peru and Bolivia. So excited :-) I wanted to book accommodation for our first two nights in Lima. Reasonable price, popular with other backpackers. We are going on Peru Hop (If anyone has heard of that) so i guess a well-known place / popular? Has anyone got any recommendations? Also, as its our honeymoon I was thinking about booking something really nice in Cusco for one night before our treck. Is there such thing? ... [Posted by janamanda3 - Oct 17, 11:28]

Hi, I’ve sold my house and am off travelling solo with no return date end of November!! As time is getting very close, panic stations are starting.... Starting in Costa Rica, I’m doing a Spanish course here for 4 weeks. Then will travel the country. I’ve read that it can be very difficult to get across Panama border without a returning home ticket. Is this the case? I plan to take a boat from Panama to Colombia, (guess this will ... [Posted by Izzyanna - Oct 16, 03:39]

I'm brand new to these forums and have never travelled solo before, but I'm looking to begin a Central and South American adventure in January. I just don't know where to begin!! I've started putting together a list of countries and cities/sites I'd like to visit, but am wondering if it's best to pre-plan as much as possible, or have rough dates in mind and work it out along the way. So planning a trip to Peru to see Machu Pichu. After that wanted to do some fishing in the Amazon but am finding it to be pretty expensive and complicated. Not a fan of being a captive audience where I have to stay at the lodge all the time, even for all of my meals. Ideas? So as part of the trip we are thinking about heading to Argentina. Buenos Aires would be great but what to do after ... [Posted by bulldogtwo - Sep 06, 18:47]
