Icecave in Iceland

Hey! I expierenced one of my all time travel highlights back in March 2013 by visiting one of the Ice Caves! The colours are just amazing and every day the caves could be a bit different. I heard and read that in Russia, within 7 days after arrival, you have to register your visa at your hotel. Often i read that you only have to do this once after arrival. And then its done. But other sources, such as Lonely Planet, say that you have to register your visa in every town that you will visit on your trip. I am confused. What is the right information? ...
