Mobile phone sims in Australia

Mon, 06 Nov 2017 13:51:50 GMT

Could anyone recommend the best mobile phone sim to buy while I am in Australia? I'll be there for three months, so I just want a pay as you go sim for light usage (likely I'll only use it for booking hostels, travel, etc). Also, where can you buy sims from? Do 7-11s sell them? And finally, what is the coverage like in Australia? I'll be flying into Perth and traveling up the West Coast and also around the South West, so I'll ... [Posted by HaadRinGuide - Nov 06, 05:51]

I turn 31 in early December and so I need to apply for my second year working holiday visa before my 31st Birthday. I don’t want to do my second year straight after my first, so I’m not going to apply for it until I’m out of Australia and in New Zealand. I’ve just ... [Posted by jameserob - Nov 05, 22:15]

I very, very rarely use the UK debit card...I've been away almost a year now and obviously I don't want to incur charges etc. For the past year I've ... [Posted by jameserob - Oct 27, 23:37]

ATMs in Australia

Wed, 11 Oct 2017 18:51:49 GMT

I just wanted to ask a few questions regarding ATMs in Australia. * Do they charge a standard fee to withdraw cash, and if so what is it? * What is the limit that you can withdraw in one transaction? * What cards are accepted? I presume Cirrus and Visa will be okay? * I'll be spending most of my time in Western Australia, so will there by ATMs everywhere I go, or might I find a few ... Hi all I am flying out to Sydney end of November and have a Base work and travel week the end of / beginning of December. Help in my tour plan to Aus and New Zealand.

Wed, 04 Oct 2017 17:59:21 GMT

I am a guy from India who is in a confused state right now. I am planning to visit New Zealand and Australia by mid of December for 4 weeks. I started off by researching on NZ and found that I could either contact the INbound Tour Operators(ITOs), or operators of NZ. The ITOs are charging me a lot while the operators of NZ are not replying properly. Will this be the same in Australia too? How does tourism work ... [Posted by Vishnu123 - Oct 04, 09:59]

Auckland Airport Delays

Thu, 21 Sep 2017 19:47:27 GMT

A major fuel pipeline to Auckland Airport was severed over the weekend. There is now a shortage of aviation fuel at the airport and many departing flights have been diverted to Christchurch, Wellington or even Fiji to collect more fuel to continue on to their destination. This situation may continue for some time although emergency services have been recruited to alleviate the problem. See this [[ ... [Posted by Borisborough - Sep 21, 11:47]

Tue, 05 Sep 2017 22:48:34 GMT

My husband and I are planning to go to Tahiti for our honeymoon in the beginning of October. We already have our flight booked and will be there for 9 days and 9 nights. For most of the trip we are planning on staying in Tahiti but I found a ferry that we could take to Moorea and thought it might be fun to stay there for 2-3 nights in an overwater bungalow. For those of you who have been ... [Posted by travelgirl2280 - Sep 05, 14:48]

Recommended spots in West Australia?

Sun, 03 Sep 2017 17:46:29 GMT

I'm travelling to Perth and staying in Western Australia/South West Australia for three months this winter, and wanted to know good recommendations for quiet places to visit with interesting things to see or nice walking trails. I'm not looking for massive multi-day walks - just an hour or two hour walk - so ideally small towns or villages with hostels close to national parks. ... [Posted by HaadRinGuide - Sep 03, 09:46]

Hello!!! Planning to travel to Queenstown, New Zealand from May-September 2018 for the ski season with my boyfriend and was wondering what the best way of finding accommodation would be. Like are there long term hostels that would put you up for 4-5 months or is it best to rent a room in a house of people? If so, do you know any websites or ways of finding rooms and accommodation available etc. Any advice is helpful :) Thanks!!! ... [Posted by rubybrent1 - Aug 23, 12:55]
