Looking for recommendations on ultra-portable sleep gear

Wed, 22 Feb 2017 07:43:24 GMT

I travel quite a bit to conferences and festivals, regularly sharing a tent or sleeping on the floor of a cramped hotel room. I like to travel light (don't we all?) but I've struggled with finding a compact sleep setup. Does anyone have recommendations for ultra-portable sleeping pads, sleeping bags, or blankets? Portability is more important to me than anything else; I don't care if it's waterproof, ultra-lightweight, or can handle sub-zero temperatures. [b]I just need it to roll up ... Help pls! Internet connection abroad

Fri, 17 Feb 2017 04:01:11 GMT

Hey there! I need some advice on internet connection abroad. I'm traveling to the US in April for work. And as my work heavily relies on internet connection, I'd be glad if there's any recommended network for cheap roaming or other ways to avoid bill shock. I know the US major networks have provided unlimited data plan but has anyone actually tried it? Do you recommend it? I don't want to go through the fuss with sim cards so would ... Malaria

Sat, 11 Feb 2017 20:29:06 GMT

I will be travelling to S E Asia in just over a months time and have started getting various travel vaccinations for the area. I have been told to look into malaria tablets and the pharmacy informed me they sell 12 days worth of tablets for £36. As I plan to travel anywhere from 6 months to indefinitely, this doesn't seem like a financially viable option. Could people please tell me of their experience with various medications or even if ... Things you take when traveling.

Sun, 05 Feb 2017 17:11:27 GMT

I will share a few things I take when traveling. Others can share their ideas, particularly things that new travelers may not think of. A Pacsafe waist wallet. You can wear these around your waist when traveling. The main benefit is locking your passport, money, etc. inside, and locking it to a fixed object in the room where you stay. For example, I often lock it to the bed, out of sight. Different rooms have different places. Potential thieves cant grab ... [Posted by aus89 - Feb 05, 09:11]

Travelling with Kids

Fri, 13 Jan 2017 14:03:20 GMT

Hi guys! So our toddler is almost 2 now, so we're wanting to go on our first holiday together. Both me and my husband love travelling (we actually met in Asia) so were thinking of visiting a few countries in Europe (not sure which ones yet!). But is this something I should be considering buying: http://www.prams.net/hauck-dream-n-play-plus-travel-cot-mattress-carry-bag-blue Can definitely see why it would be useful, but don't wanna waste the money if we don't actually need one? Anyone got ... [Posted by AlyxCha - Jan 13, 06:03]

Backpack size for a month of travel?

Sun, 08 Jan 2017 19:55:39 GMT

So it's my first time backpacking in Europe and me and my friends decided Interrail was the best thing to do.. I'm hoping on packing relatively lightly and I was wondering what size pack would be best. I'm quite small too (5'2") and so I don't want something that will be too big for me. Would 30L be too small? Thank you :) ... [Posted by rosie2108 - Jan 08, 11:55]
