Fancy a Relaxing Cruise?

Sat, 17 Feb 2018 00:16:43 GMT

I've just read this in one of the on-line newspapers down here. A "bloodbath"! I'm not a great fan of cruises although I am aware that some people swear by them - this must have been a nightmare for the 'normal' cruisers. Does anyone have a story about a nightmare cruise? ... Venice - Overtourism Research Project

Wed, 14 Feb 2018 21:33:22 GMT

Hello, I am a final year undergraduate university student undertaking some research on the issue of 'overtourism' in Venice specifically. As part of my project, I need some feedback from members of a travel community or from travel/tourism forums to support my findings, and if there are any suggestions that are made to me. So, Venice is a hot and majority water city where large numbers of tourists come from cruise ships especially, increasing overall footfall. Effectively, the number of tourist ... Hi all, I'm a fella from Belgium and have gotten around in a pretty conflicting situation. My girlfriend and I bought a house a year ago and we're still busy renovating it. I've always been the adventurous type of guy that could leave it all behind and she's more of a family type of girl that would like to settle down but not entirely. She also likes to travel but not long term and with a bit more comfort than just backpacking. We discussed staying ... [Posted by Coppie - Jan 30, 15:11]

[Posted by Hirse - Jan 24, 16:49]

Kudos to Peter and the crew for this cool site! :) I know there are plans in the making to make TP more colourful and inviting, including revamped home pages for us all, the inclusion of enabling us to write tips and a TP meetup thingy. I was also thinking that on the TP ... [Posted by aussirose - Dec 28, 02:05]

Is 25 too old for travelling?

Sun, 03 Dec 2017 18:04:45 GMT

Hello! I'm Jordan, I'm 25 and I am planning to go travelling round SE Asia and Australia in January 2018! However, I have been worrying (with the help of my parents...) that I am too old to go travelling. My parents say I should be thinking about moving out and settling down at 25, that I should be having 2 week holidays instead. I have a decent job but it is not what I want to do but they think that ... [Posted by jordanlt - Dec 03, 10:04]

Is traveling a good idea...?

Thu, 30 Nov 2017 01:16:48 GMT

I'm graduating from university in 2018, and I feel much more confused about the future in terms of career than I was before going. There's things I enjoy, but I don't know what I want to do in the future. I haven't taken a year out from education and need at least one year to clear my head. I also realised that I am not ready to settle in a 9-5 routine and have a lot of exploring to do, both ... [Posted by kbahz - Nov 29, 17:16]
