Paris Christmas Markets

Mon, 20 Nov 2017 00:41:37 GMT

The city of Paris has cancelled the license of the man who runs the Christmas Market on the Champs Elysées so there is not supposed to be one this year. He filed an appeal but it was rejected by the city fathers so the assumption is that there will be no Market on the Champs this year although the famous Ferris Wheel will be there and there is a temporary very nice restaurant set up. However, there are plenty of other ... [Posted by Beausoleil, in the Europe Forum - Nov 19, 16:41]

Trip Map

Fri, 17 Nov 2017 03:17:46 GMT

I am trying to show two plane trips - one from BWI to LAX and the other one a return 2 plus weeks later. No matter what I do, the first trip appears as a road trip following the roads rather than either a curved or straight line. Sometimes I can get the second trip to be a curved line but now it has disappeared altogether. ... [Posted by greatgrandmaR, in the System Talk Forum - Nov 16, 19:17]

Map issues, Newcastle

Thu, 16 Nov 2017 18:56:27 GMT

Searching for paradise

Thu, 16 Nov 2017 15:01:40 GMT

Hello! We are 2-4 people who are going together on an adventure for 2-3 months. We are looking for a nice village or smaller town where we can live just outside the village and perhaps rent a house in an area where it's very still and silent and has beautiful nature and close to water. The kind of village we're looking for is much like Rishikesh in northern India. But we're leaving in the beginning of December and want the temperature to be ... Road Trip to Faroes/Iceland from Ireland.

Wed, 15 Nov 2017 10:46:00 GMT

I'm a semi-retired motorhome owner looking for a travel companion to go from Ireland via UK to Netherlands and eventually by the Smyrl Line to Faroes and onto Iceland. I'm planning May/June 2018. Ideally someone who could share the driving. Good cook like myself, likes a few beers. I offered the trip to my wife and family but they cannot get the time off work. I plan to stay in ACSI sites en-route through Netherlands/Germany/Denmark and official sites in the Faroes as best ... [Posted by MichealHurley, in the Travel Companions Forum - Nov 15, 02:46]

Tier 5 Youth Mobility Scheme

Wed, 15 Nov 2017 07:16:06 GMT

Hello All! My name is Kayla and I was just wondering if anyone has applied for the youth mobility visa from Australia but as a NZ citizen? I’ve been in Australia for 3 years and heading over to the UK early next year but as I was reading up on the information you need to provide for your visa, it says that if you’re applying from another country in which you’re not a citizen you’ll need to provide a copy of ... Getting a haircut for a female in India

Hey guys, I have a bit of a random question. I have super long blonde hair and I'm traveling to India soon. I was going to get a haircut in Canada before I left but, a) I'm lazy and b) I'm cheap. I was thinking about getting my hair cut when I get there but I have no idea where I would look for a hairdresser. I know there must be millions, but I'm a little bit picky as my ... Two week trip to Japan, recommendations?

Thu, 09 Nov 2017 18:55:32 GMT

Hello travelers :) We're planning a two week trip to Japan around march 2018. This is our first time visiting this country so I was wondering if those who have already traveled there can share their experiences, tips, or maybe recommend us some must-see places? We're starting in Tokyo and probably moving towards Osaka, visiting some other cities on the way. We're a group of four, and although we're not going on a strict budget, it'd be nice to have some ... Finding a photo

Thu, 09 Nov 2017 16:34:57 GMT

I now have 16,912 photos on TravellersPoint, most of which were transferred from Virtual Tourist but some added more recently, mainly relating to travels since VT closed. As I add blog entries relating to historic travels previously described on VT, or when the new boards are introduced and I want to illustrate them, I have the option of using the stored VT images or uploading again from my computer. The former avoids duplication (of which I already have too much!) ... [Posted by ToonSarah, in the System Talk Forum - Nov 09, 08:34]
