It was the women's turn to take the court at the Region XIV basketball tournament in Jacksonville. Now unlike the men, this tourney starts in the regional quarterfinals. As the four-seed, Tyler took on Blinn and the Apaches won 64 to 48. Top seed Trinity Valley meanwhile defeated Angelina 71-51, so that means TVCC and TJC will square off in the semifinals on Friday.

The Martin's Mill Lady Mustangs defeated the reigning Class 2A State Champions, Weimar, 58-50 this afternoon at the Alamodome.   Britney Moon hit back to back three-pointers to tie up the game at 50 a piece.
