Which doctor?

Tue, 18 Oct 2016 16:48:24 GMT

I'm pretty sure I have developed an acid reflux problem. This is not really a surprise, since it's common among people with asthma and I already have that. I figure I should see a doctor about it, but I assume that will involve some tests that will ending up costing money since my health insurance...

New smartphone and transferring stuff to it

Sun, 16 Oct 2016 17:58:08 GMT

After more than four years of service, my Android phone (Motorola Droid Razr Maxx) is on its last legs. I bought it largely for its great battery life and it did not disappoint, but it has gotten very slow and the battery is finally showing signs of age. I'm going to replace it with a new Motorola...

Does Bicycle and body height affect how fast you can ride?

Sun, 16 Oct 2016 15:43:21 GMT

I have been riding now for 7 years, four of those on an XS Specialized Ruby Elite Carbon bicycle. I'm 5'1." I'm very long waisted with very short legs. Do people over 5'7" who ride much larger bicycles have an advantage with speed? I would think they could cover a lot more distance with...

TRIDENT TWIG (folding recumbent) - $600

Wed, 12 Oct 2016 03:17:37 GMT

Wasabi Green Trident TWIG recumbent bike in very good condition for sale, low miles - $600, price is firm. It's a fun ride and a nice fold. This recumbent bike folds in a way that might surprise you: the rear wheel does not swing over nor under, to nestle by the front wheel – it folds to the...

Pain in right side before and after running

Sun, 09 Oct 2016 23:31:57 GMT

I've been having pain on my right side for about three months now, from right under my chest to right under my belly button. I kept running on it, and have only stopped a couple of times during daily runs. It concerns me more now because it's been hurting after I'm done running. Sometimes there...

North woods back roads tour

Fri, 07 Oct 2016 00:33:39 GMT

Thought you might like a sample of where I love to ride, so here's a ride I did, today. The destination is some wild north woods logging roads/trails, but to get to this area and then back home ... I have to ride seven miles of paved roads, but very light traffic. Image:...

Opinion on biking pant

Wed, 05 Oct 2016 15:13:24 GMT

Hey all, I need a new pair of biking pants. Not rain pants, have those and not tights, have those too. Something that fits over my shorts with some wind resistant factor. I am looking at the alcove hybrid pant from Garneau Anybody have a...

Is this the bike advertised?

Tue, 04 Oct 2016 12:44:28 GMT

I'm debating purchasing a gently/barely used hybrid. The seller says it's a 2014 Vita Sport, but it looks like a Vita to me. Does anyone know for sure which it is?Attachment 18205 (

Fall Color

Mon, 03 Oct 2016 22:01:55 GMT

Got back from Florida and immediately caught a nasty cold, so very little riding, this week. Still have the cold, but just not like me to sit inside, so hopped on the bike, anyway, for a short 15 mile ride on a beautiful fall day. Here it is, the first week of October, and we are still not at full...

bike helmet, concussion talk

Sat, 01 Oct 2016 21:11:29 GMT

I was bit taken back to hear that bike is one of the leading causes of accidents which leads to having a concussion. (sorry for the bad grammar. can't figure out to say it correctly) Anyway, it's up there with football players. Another surprise is that helmet isn't designed to protect your...

Mini-tour to the Grand Canyon

Fri, 30 Sep 2016 14:49:07 GMT

I just got back from a four day bike tour experience to the Grand Canyon. It was planned for my husband and son Simon, but at the last minute, my husband's days off were not approved, so just the two of us went. My husband and I did a two night trip to Madera Canyon south of Tucson two years...

For those with neck problems...(furniture)

Tue, 27 Sep 2016 01:05:40 GMT

I know several of you have had serious neck problems and surgeries. Have you found recliners to be helpful? I've had a bit of a windfall and need to replace my loveseat with something that doesn't make my neck and scalp numb and hurt other bits. I've determined that, for the most part, couches and...
