Walk Security

Thu, 02 Nov 2017 07:44:02 +0000

Last week, we had a visit from the 'Head of Community Safety' at Southwark Council, Jonathon Toy, together with PC Arthur Hazel, a local home beat officer, and Dave Simpson, from Southwark Council's Anti-Social Behaviour Unit. I was encouraged by Mr Toy's apparent interest in the street and he appeared keen to make sure that the council's wardens do not neglect our quiet and vulnerable little street.

Uniform Business

Thu, 02 Nov 2017 07:43:15 +0000

So, after 15 years, has anything changed? Well, unsurprisingly, no. The Inland Revenue have just sent out (at huge cost to the taxpayer) the new Business Rate valuations and they propose that the business rates for the building go up by another 62%!

Now, that would suggest that rental values have risen by 62% in the last 5 years. What planet do these guys live on? Certainly not planet earth or planet SE1. If inflation is 2% per annum then rentals might (stress the MIGHT) have risen to 110% of their 2000 level, but I doubt it.

One-off on-site IT support

Tue, 31 Jan 2017 12:09:32 +0000

Hi all,

We're looking for some one-off, on-site, IT support to sort out a number of issues in our little office in Borough Market.

Hooking up all our computers to a couple of printers (reliably!) and getting scan-to-email to work. Apparently we might need a static IP (whatever that means...).

Pointers for a friendly local person welcome. We don't want to be tied into an expensive ongoing contract.

Thanks

Replacement Double Glazing glass

Tue, 03 Jan 2017 00:04:42 +0000

hi there,

Can anyone recommend a good local glazier? Ive just bought a new apartment and it looks like one of the double glazed patio doors has blown as there's notable condensation in there.

Any thoughts would be great.

Hello,

We have two printers that is in need of a new home!

- HP LaserJet P3015
It's a black & white printer, and prints 40 pages per minute. However, it does jam from time to time if printing too many docs at once.
No toner is supplied
Spec details can be found on the HP website as well as an image of what it looks like
HP Printer website

-Brother MFC 5890CN
It's a colour inkjet printer, A4 scanner and photocopier. The printer is slow but it does the job.
No cartridges are supplied
Spec details can be found on the Brother website as well as an image of what it looks like

Ideally, it needs to be collected by the 23rd March.
