If you're reading this review, I assume you want to learn how to play blues guitar. If that's the case, please read this carefully. This was a hard review for me to write, not because the product isn't good, because it is, but because the truth is, learning to play blues guitar is not hard. I'm serious. Even an average course in blues guitar will do the job. So, is this course average or above average? Without going through every course offered online, it's impossible to say. So let me just review this course on its own merits. The thing I look for most with a product that teaches any musical technique is ease of understanding. I realize that it's going to take some practice on my part, but I need to be able to totally understand what it is I'm supposed to be doing, or the product is worthless. In this case, I give this product a 4.5 out or 5 stars. It's not perfect, but it's darn close. Of the few I have seen, it's the best one so far. The others%u2026just average (3 stars). So right there, Playing Through The Blues is a step and a half above the others I've seen. The book covers just about every lick and scale technique that you could possibly want to learn, and this may be a problem for some people. There are so many things that you can learn, there is a tendency to jump around and not stick with one thing long enough to master it. This is due to human nature. We want it all at once. So take my advice with this course. Take it one step at a time. Eventually you'll get it all down. No, it won't happen overnight. I could keep going on about exactly what you'll learn but then this review would turn into a book. Yes, the course is that massive. This guy's been teaching blues guitar for over 20 years and it shows. You'll feel like you've been enrolled in a college course once you go through this. It's mind boggling. Bottom line: You can't go wrong with this instruction PROVIDED that you put the time in. If not, do yourself a favor and save your money. Yes, you WILL have to practice.
