'Lil' Ol' Band From Texas' ZZ Top still rocking

ZZ Top fans last fall received the chance to enjoy something the group has rarely done in a career that now stretches more than 40 years - a live album. Titled "Live - Greatest Hits From Around the Globe," the album features concert performances of 15 of the best-known songs from across the career of that "Lil' Ol' Band From Texas."

The Homecoming entertainers will be Bucky Covington today, Eliminator KC, a ZZ Top tribute band on Friday, and Rick K and the Allnighters on Saturday. The festival will also feature concessions, vendors, carnival rides and games.

Alice Cooper 's latest studio album, Paranormal , gets its release today, July 28. The shock rocker enlisted some big-name rockers to play on the 12-track collection - U2 drummer Larry Mullen Jr. , ZZ Top frontman Billy Gibbons and Deep Purple bassist Roger Glover . In addition, Cooper reunited with the three other surviving members of his original Alice Cooper Band - bassist Dennis Dunaway , drummer Neal Smith and guitarist Michael Bruce - to write and record two tracks, which appear on a bonus disc packaged with the album.
