Funeral home honors Honor Guard

Thirteen veterans and active military members enjoyed a free dinner Tuesday at Country Pub 2 in appreciation from Acly-Stover Funeral Home for all they have done to help grieving families at the funeral home or a cemetery. Angie Acly-Carr, co-owner of Acly-Stover, said the funeral home is celebrating its 100th anniversary and what the Honor Guard has add to the services is greatly acknowledged by everyone involved.

City officials seeking the termination of suspended Corning Fire Lieutenant Thomas Margeson since he was arrested in September for allegedly selling heroin have reached an agreement. Under the terms of the settlement Margeson will retire from the Corning City Fire Department Jan. 31, 2018, said City Manager Mark Ryckman.

Sullivanville Neighborhood Watch Group holds second meeting

Police say car helped identify suspects in string of Southern Tier Vandalism

We're learning more about how police caught two men involved in a string of vandalism throughout the Southern Tier. 21-year-old Cody Keller of Waverly and 20-year-old Jayden Elia of Spencer have each been charged with one count of felony criminal mischief.
