Priest charged with three counts of larceny

Father Eugene Katcher, 71, former pastor of Resurrection Parish in Canton, was charged by the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office with three counts of larceny in a building. These charges come from a preliminary investigation by the Archdiocese in spring 2017, after an allegation was made against Katcher.

State seeks tech-related ideas for site of demolished Detroit House of Corrections

Following demolition of the Detroit House of Corrections property, officials are hopeful the property's blank slate will spur future development for the former maximum-security prison. State and local officials gathered at 47500 Five Mile Rd. in Plymouth Township on Wednesday, Aug. 30 to announce that the site once known for incarceration is now ready to developed.
