This weekend I had the opportunity to finally meet Debra Jane Seltzer in person. For almost two decades Debra has been chronicling neon signs all across the United States. She has probably photographed more signs than anyone alive. She maintains a comprehensive collection of her signs organized by state on her website www.roadsidearchitecture.com/

Debra's site has been an invaluable tool for many photographers who are looking to track and photograph the disappearing neon signs across America. Photographing these signs has been a passion of mine and I'm glad I was finally able to meet Debra (along with her four pups, Griz, Grem, Nik and Dill who go with her on every trip).

This Summer Debra is going to be spending four weeks documenting signs all over Texas.

Debra was in San Francisco to present at the Neon Speaks symposium that was held in the City this weekend. She gave a great talk about her work and her own passion for photographing these signs.

Very nice to finally meet you Debra.
