Can somebody try out possibly fixed column size save problem. Just download latest 3.12 setup again (we updated it yesterday) and try it out. Maybe it does not work in case of first start of program but after closing program down and starting it again it should now save column sizes.

Concering saving of column widths in Feedreader 3.10 and 3.11

Wed, 29 Aug 2007 10:06:09 +0100

We have received some complaints that column positions and widths are not saving in Feedreader 3.10 and 3.11. Lets try to get things right then.

We had a bug in 3.10 that caused column properties not to save. But in 3.11 we fixed this bug. Still we get complaints about 3.11.

I have tested 3.11 and column properties saving in windows XP and in Vista business 32bit. In Vista I tested things with admin rights and with limited/normal user rights. I did not encounter any of previously sayd problems.

But as some users are having this "bug" then we have to think something out. If you can help us we would appreciate it. You can do following test procedure:

*install FR fresh (please delete or remove appdata/roaming/feedreader folder)
*after first closing of Feedreader please investigate feedreader.ini in appdata/roaming/feedreader. You can also post this first ini version here.
*after second start of feedreader please try to change column positions and widths including title width. Please also try to change some advanced settings (just to be sure that other settings are really saved).
*Now close down FR and investigate INI file. Are column positions and widths still the same as in first version of INI file. You can also post this INI version here.
*Now please start FR again. See if advanced settings that you have changed are correct.
*Investigate what has happened to column positions and widths. Are they all the same or something has somehow saved to INI file.

Also please tell us exact Windows version. One possibility is that problems are in 64bit vista but we do not know it yet.
