The Search for New Ninjas Begins

Mon, 09 Jul 2012 13:20:07 +0000

The search for potential new Ninjas officially begins now. Currently, the plan is to recruit a handful of people to create a pool of Ninjas, and each topic would be covered by myself and two other Ninjas. That way the burden of having to read or watch everything would be spread out amongst a few more people.

New and Improved Ninjas

Wed, 28 Jan 2009 23:55:22 +0000

So, what do you think of the new look? It'll take some time to add in the appropriate thumbnails for older posts and shows, but eventually we'll get there.

More KAMN Coming

Fri, 21 Mar 2008 19:00:03 +0000

As promised last fall, my old reviews from before I joined Dragon Page will be reposted here shortly. I couldn't decide if it would be better to repost them with the original dates (thus dating them before KAMN existed), or just post them new, with a tagline saying when they were originally done. Brian liked the posting them new idea, so that won out.

Asimov, Foundation and more

Sun, 11 Nov 2007 17:00:07 +0000

We've had a lot of requests during the time we've been doing this to do a show on "Foundation." A lot of requests. I haven't put it on the schedule yet, simply because of how much work I've been doing lately, but for some reason I kept getting hints and reminders about Foundation over the past 2 months.

The Complete Guide to Writing Fantasy

Wed, 18 Jul 2007 21:45:17 +0000

What's so important about a brand new book about writing fantasy that it gets mentioned here, you ask? You mean, besides the fact that it contains an essay by the inestimable Tee Morris, and one by yours truly, Summer Brooks? "The Author's Grimoire" contains an essay by Joe Murphy, and the book is dedicated to him. I don't know if this is the last essay he sold or not, but it's finally coming to print.

Back in the Saddle

Sat, 05 May 2007 05:00:11 +0000

The Ninjas are returning, very soon now, with a pretty cool episode about Colossus: The Forbin Project, the 1970 film starring Eric Braeden. As always, you can check out the list of upcoming shows, and potential upcoming show topics on our Future Topics page.

Another Ninja guest spot

Wed, 03 Jan 2007 08:09:48 +0000

Into the Dark, a podcast brought to us by H. R. Tucker and the Computer King, features Summer in the latest episode. A discussion of Santa's "inherent evil", and a Computer King Arena smackdown with Summer Ninja vs The Reigning Shogun of Taiwan.

The Lensman series

Mon, 01 Jan 2007 13:30:43 +0000

Dave loves the Lensman series. He's wanted to do that series ever since we started this show. So, should the Lensman series be read in publication order, or in the "chronological" story sequence order?

Show Discussions open

Sun, 31 Dec 2006 12:15:52 +0000

Those of you who’ve been around since we started this show know that I’d implemented a plugin that automatically closed the comments form after 4-5 weeks, basically to save me from having to clean up as much comment spam. With the newer and better comment spam filters out there, I’d been thinking about removing that […]

Ninjas in Other Podcasts

Sat, 30 Dec 2006 22:00:49 +0000

Right after Thanksgiving, I chatted with The Lipstick Aliens, Show #13. They even stumped me with some trivia questions.

Feedback Poll 1

Thu, 23 Nov 2006 13:30:11 +0000

First, I know that between June and September, our schedule wasn’t the most consistent it could have been. I’m hoping to fix that a little bit. Based on our combined increase in workload, we’re going to change things up a little bit. Instead of Ninjas every other week (or as close to it as I […]

Ninja Traveling

Thu, 02 Nov 2006 14:30:00 +0000

Oh, and some shameless Ninja pimping: "So Say We All: An Unauthorized Collection of Thoughts and Opinions on Battlestar Galactica", from BenBella Books, is now available on shelves. It contains essays by Mur Lafferty, Tee Morris, and myself. Trust me, you'll like it.

Ninja go Boing

Wed, 25 Oct 2006 16:00:35 +0000

Dave Moldawer’s own podcast, The Morning Brew, has been subjected to the BoingBoing. Yay Dave! Go check it out, and go listen to the podcast as well.

Ninjas Update

Tue, 29 Aug 2006 11:30:23 +0000

This past summer has been a little hectic, and the shows have suffered because of it.

Fans Showing The Love

Tue, 01 Aug 2006 00:09:39 +0000

Andrea, consummate Wingin' It and Slice of SciFi and Ninjas fan (and of a buncha other shows, too) has stepped up, showing us how deep her love for Ninjas runs.

Ninjas have been Nominated

Thu, 20 Jul 2006 18:16:58 +0000

The Kick-Ass Mystic Ninjas podcast has been nominated for a Parsec Award in the "Best Fan Podcast" category!

Dragon*Con attendance update

Mon, 10 Jul 2006 16:00:22 +0000

It looks like two Ninjas will be at Dragon*Con. Y'all rock. Just sayin'.

Show #15 Delayed

Mon, 19 Jun 2006 03:09:48 +0000

Once again, technical difficulties have arisen to bite us, or rather me, in the ass.

Ninja in search of Dragon*Con crash space

Tue, 13 Jun 2006 08:56:56 +0000

Okay, I really was planning on making it to Dragon*Con this year, but after finding out that all the con hotels are sold out, the only way I make it there is to find out if there are any ladies out there attending and in need of another roommate to split the bill.

KAMN Ringtones, anyone?

Fri, 05 May 2006 13:54:49 +0000

Barbara R. has created two Ninja ringtones...

Ninja Updates

Sat, 29 Apr 2006 11:30:09 +0000

Two other items of note: the Ninjas now have a tip jar. Feel free to donate shamelessly, because from time to time, we may pimp shamelessly! Also, David Moldawer is now officially a full-fledged Ninja. In case you haven't heard it yet, you really need to listen to Wingin' It Show #56 in order to experience the sheer chutzpa and brilliance that we are calling his Ninja Final Exam.

Show #12 Delayed

Wed, 12 Apr 2006 07:03:00 +0000

Sorry about this guys, but Show #12 about Logan’s Run will be delayed a few days due to unforeseen suckage, er, technical difficulties. Meanwhile, may I direct your attention over here to this display of bright, shiny objects?

Aging Tech Gear

Wed, 08 Feb 2006 08:16:46 +0000

I haven't investigated how much it'd cost to get this tank fixed, but I do happen to have another laserdisc player. I just hope it still works, or I'm going to have to jump through some hoops to find a replacement. And yes, I would find a replacement. Laserdisc is the only media I have left for the original Star Wars trilogy in it's pristine original form.

Yet another Listing

Fri, 27 Jan 2006 06:00:17 +0000
