‘Cuse Takes No. 19 Clemson to 0-0 Tie

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse women's soccer team (5-3-2, 0-1-1) tabbed its second tie of the season as it took No. 19 Clemson (6-3-1, 0-2-1) to a 0-0 result (20T) on Sunday at SU Soccer Stadium. Both of the ties for the Orange this season have come against ranked opponents, as 'Cuse tied No. 21 Connecticut back in August.

Senior linebacker Parris Bennett was all over field for the Orange last night at Tiger Stadium. The Detroit, Mich. product tallied a season-best 12 tackles, including a career-high three for a loss, a safety, a pass breakup and a quarterback hurry in Syracuse's 35-26 loss to 25th-ranked LSU. He spearheaded a defensive effort that allowed the Orange to stay in the game until the final whistle in one of college football's most intimidating environments.

Orange Staff to Participate in Coach to Cure MD Program

The Syracuse coaching staff will show its support for the Coach to Cure MD program on Saturday, Sept. 30 when the Orange visit Carter-Finley Stadium in Raleigh to take on NC State. Orange coaches and other American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) members around the country will wear Coach to Cure MD logo patches on their left arm to raise awareness of Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

No. 25 LSU Holds Off Syracuse, 35-26

Syracuse (2-2) tallied 23 second-half points, but couldn't overtake No. 25 LSU (3-1) and lost to the Tigers 35-26 in front of a crowd of 96,044 at Tiger Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 23. Wide receiver Steve Ishmael recorded his fourth consecutive 100-yard receiving game with 123 yards and a touchdown on 11 receptions. Linebacker Parris Bennett led the defense with a season-high 12 tackles.

Orange Comeback Falls Short in OT

Trailing 2-0 midway through the second half, the No. 6 Syracuse field hockey team (8-2, 1-2 ACC) rallied to force overtime against No. 7 North Carolina (8-2, 2-1 ACC). However, the Tar Heels scored 1:26 into the extra frame to come away with the win.

Orange Comeback Not Enough Against Duke

No. 11/13 Syracuse couldn't overcome a two-goal deficit in a 2-1 setback to No. rv/16 Duke on Friday, Sept. 22. The match was played in front of a crowd of 2,022, which is the sixth-largest in SU Soccer Stadium history.

Orange Men Claim Battle in Beantown Title
