Peterson on Wade Trophy Watch List

LILBURN, Ga. – Senior guard Alexis Peterson of the Syracuse women's basketball team was named to the watch list for the 2017 Wade Trophy, the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) announced on Thursday morning. The Wade Trophy is awarded annually to the nation's best women's basketball player in NCAA Division I competition.

Jim Brown Named 2016 Muhammad Ali Legacy Award Recipient

Syracuse University legend Jim Brown and basketball greats Bill Russell and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar will receive the Sports Illustrated Muhammad Ali Legacy Award, Time Warner Inc. announced today. The three icons were chosen by the SI editors to receive the honor for their athletic achievement and decades of leadership as social activists. They will be recognized during SI's Sportsperson of the Year event on Dec. 12 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.

#20/21 Syracuse Wins Top-25 Clash

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The No. 20/21 Syracuse Orange snapped a two-game losing streak on Wednesday night, defeating No. 22 Michigan State, 75-64, in the Carrier Dome. The victory concluded the hardest month of November in program history, as it was the first time Syracuse played three nationally-ranked opponents in the first month of the season.
