The Philadelphia Soul are pleased to announce that there will be a championship celebration rally at the City Hall courtyard at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, August 30.



Philadelphia Soul win ArenaBowl XXX 44-40
The Philadelphia Soul are champions of Arena Football League for the second consecutive season. The game was close for three quarters, but the Soul turned up the defense with a safety and an interception in the fourth quarter to pull away to a 44-40 victory in ArenaBowl XXX.



Storm lose ArenaBowl XXX As Soul Complete Comeback
After pulling off the second greatest statistical turnaround of any regular season in AFL history, the Tampa Bay Storm found themselves winning a home playoff game for first the first time since 2010 and clinching a trip to their first ArenaBowl since that same season.

Tampa Bay's Hippeard Named Most Valuable Player
The Arena Football League has announced that Tampa Bay Storm quarterback Randy Hippeard has been named 2017 Most Valuable Player. This marks the first time Hippeard has been honored with the AFL's most prestigious individual honor and is the first time a Storm player to be honored with the MVP distinction since Jay Gruden in 1992.



Tampa Bay's James Named Marcum-Moss Head Coach of the Year
The Arena Football League has announced that Tampa Bay Storm head coach Ron James has been named 2017 Marcum-Moss Head Coach of the Year. This is James' second time being honored as the top coach in the AFL after being awarded the distinction in 2012 with the Utah Blaze.

The Arena Football League has announced that Philadelphia Soul defensive back Dwayne Hollis has been named 2017 AFL Defensive Back of the Year. A Soul defensive back has now won the award in back-to-back seasons and three of six years the award has been presented.



Tampa Bay's Hills Named Wide Receiver of the Year
The Arena Football League has announced that Tampa Bay Storm wide receiver Joe Hills has been named 2017 AFL Wide Receiver of the Year. Hills becomes the first-player to be recognized in back-to-back years and first receiver to be named to the award twice.



AFL Announces All-Arena First and Second Teams
The Arena Football League has announced the 2017 All-Arena First and Second Teams. Of the 36 players named, 18 earn their way on to a 2017 All-Arena Team for the first-time in their career.

The Arena Football League has announced that Tampa Bay Storm wide receiver and kick returner Kendrick Ings has been named 2017 AFL Playmaker of the Year. Explosive on the field, he led the AFL with 2,219 all-purpose yards and finished with 26 total touchdowns, including four touchdowns by kick return.



Storm Roll By Gladiators To Clinch Spot In ArenaBowl XXX

Gladiators Outlasted by Storm, 73-59
The Arena Football League’s Cleveland Gladiators, proudly presented by Unique Home Solutions, fell to the Tampa Bay Storm, 73-59, on Monday night at Amalie Arena. The loss ends the 2017 season for the Gladiators as quarterback Arvell Nelson completed 27 of his 40 passes for 322 yards and seven touchdowns in the game.

The Tampa Bay Storm (10-4, 1-0) are headed to the ArenaBowl for the 10th time in franchise history after knocking off the Cleveland Gladiators (5-9, 0-1), 73-59, in front of 9,621 fans at AMALIE Arena on Monday evening.



6abc to Broadcast ArenaBowl XXX Live
With the Soul’s 69-54 victory over the Baltimore Brigade on Saturday, the team will host ArenaBowl XXX on Saturday, August 26 at 7 p.m. at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA. The game will be broadcast live on 6abc, Twitter and 97.5 The Fanatic.

Verizon Center becomes Capital One Arena
As of today, the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C., is the Capital One Arena. Monumental Sports and Entertainment (MSE), the venue’s owner, announced Wednesday that McLean-based Capital One Financial Corp. will become the new naming rights partner for the facility, which hosts more than 220 concerts, shows and events a year attended by 3 million visitors.
