232nd Bristol Fourth of July Parade Celebration
The Fourth of July Parade begins at 1030 a.m. and will step-off at the corner of Chestnut Street and Hope Street Rt. 114 and ends on High Street, between State Street and Bradford Street.



2017 Annual Ancients and Horribles Parade
Nothing is sacred as Glocester locals spoof local and national politics during the famous Ancients and Horribles Parade on the Fourth of July. The parade first wound its way down Main Street in Chepachet in 1926 and, with the help of many dedicated volunteers, has continued to delight Glocester residents and many others each and every year since.

55th Annual Wickford Art Festival
Each summer artists and art lovers enjoy New Englands #1 outdoor fine arts festival set on the streets of historic Wickford Village. Fine art media include oil, acrylic, mixed media, glass, drawing, etching, sculpture metal, clay, wood, etc., photography, modern ink, and fiber. Wickford is a walking-friendly village that makes it easy for families, the elderly and handicapped persons to enjoy the festival. Since 1962, the Wickford Art Association has been the promoter of the Wickford Art Festival. This juried, fine art festival features over 200 fine art artists from New England, the US and beyond. White Bay Events presents the third annual Tommy Tewsday sponsored by Thomas Tew Rum. World War II Rhode Island with a focus on Aquidneck Island
On June 28 we will host the author talk World War II Rhode Island with a Focus on Aquidneck Island. Co-authors Christian McBurney and Brian Wallin will give a joint lecture on their new book World War II Rhode Island and the incredible story of the war effort in the state.



Butterfly Count at Ballard Park
The public is welcome to come to Ballard Park on Saturday, June 24th from 11 am to 12 noon to learn about butterflies. Naturalist Charles Avenengo will share tips and tidbits about butterflies while participating in the North American Butterfly Associations annual Butterfly Count. The count represents the longest running citizen-scientist butterfly monitoring program in existence. For almost forty years volunteers have collected data from survey sites throughout North America. Block Island Firework Display
Get a jump on your July 4 celebration when we launch the annual fireworks display from Town Beach Pavilion on Sunday, July 2nd. Behind Closed Doors House, Garden and Studio Tour
Artist and designer studios give visitors an inside view of the creative work that Warren is well known for. A broad array of homes, both completed and in the process of restoration, illustrate the deep passion for beauty and history that join residents of Warren. This walking tour grants access to sites within a tightly knit downtown area, allowing visitors to park their cars and stroll from one tour site to the next, pausing for lunch and shopping throughout downtown. All volunteers must be able to do some light to moderate bending and lifting. Volunteers under 16 must participate with an adult. Volunteers must have their own transportation to the event. All volunteers are encouraged to bring their own reusable gloves, water bottle and snacks to the cleanup event.

Save The Bay will provide the trash bags and disposable gloves. All volunteers should dress for the weather and wear clothes they dont mind getting dirty. Closed-toed shoes are required. All volunteers must be able to do some light to moderate bending and lifting. Volunteers under 16 must participate with an adult. Volunteers must have their own transportation to the event. All volunteers are encouraged to bring their own reusable gloves, water bottle and snacks to the cleanup event.

Annual FCC Craft Fair
Join us for the Annual FCC Craft Fair at First Congregational Church Bristol. This is an outdoor event rain or shine, on the north lawn of the church located on the corner of Bradford and High Streets. We expect 35 vendors who make a variety of creative crafts. There will also be a plant sale, bake sale, and cookout. Come enjoy this free event from 10am to 3pm.

Starting at 10am visit the Colony House and Washington Square for a morning of patriotic activities, including a reading of the Declaration of Independence. Throughout the day celebrate religious freedom and the First Amendment when more than a dozen houses of worship will be open to the public for tours. Learn how the building or the congregation that worships there symbolizes Newports commitment to freedom of religion and religious diversity. The Newport Historical Societys Great Friends Meeting House, Seventh Day Baptist Meeting House, and the Colony House, site of the first Roman Catholic mass in Rhode Island, will be open from 10am 12pm. Jazz Revelations Blue Clue Quartet celebrates Chet Baker
Chet Bakers cool demeanor was always evident in his playing and personality. Whether a crooning ballad, whirling up-tempo swing, or heart-melting standard, Chet never failed to impress with finesse. The Blue Clue Quartet brings this west coast sound back to Providence. Joining Manuel Morales on trumpet will be Clay Nordhill for harmony and killing solos, while Evan Magno on bass and James Nordhill on drums lay down a solid rhythm. Special guests will turbo-charge the horn section on selected songs. The Quartet will play popular tunes from Chets career, including classics like Time After Time and It Could Happen to You, as well as less familiar recordings.

Friday Night Concert Series at Waterplace Park The Unlikely Candidates
This summer the city has teamed up with 95.5 WBRU to bring some of the nations best rising talent to the Waterplace stage, the series will feature emerging alternative rock bands paired with regional rising stars. Forth Worth indie rockers The Unlikely Candidates kick-off the series at Waterplace Park. Formed in 2008, the band is comprised of Kyle Morris vocals, Cole Male guitar, Kevin Goddard drums, Brenton Carney lead guitar, and Jared Hornbeek bass. Their single Follow My Feet has charted on Billboard triple A at number 6 and spent 20 weeks on the Billboard Charts. The song also charted at #35 on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart. Cannibal Ramblers will open the show.
