Finding home and history at The Astor Hotel

Sun, 20 Nov 2016 15:56:00 CDT

Despite being surrounded by the unfamiliar, I felt like I was cozily at home during my stay at The Astor Hotel - and that's a pretty impressive achievement for a hotel, especially when a guest's guts are actively staging a violent coup against him.

Take time for a perfect weekend in Lake Geneva

Fri, 18 Nov 2016 09:01:00 CDT

It's been a long time (too long) since I've taken the opportunity to get away for the weekend. But, a recent trip to Lake Geneva - after which I found myself considerably more relaxed - made me seriously consider why I don't do it more often.
