Thanks in part to an energetic Milwaukee crowd, the Jerry Garcia Band played a double-CD-worthy gig at the Bradley Center in 1991. That concert is now available in a nice set from Dave Matthews' ATO Records.

Alpine Valley won't host any concerts this year

Turns out the prominent "That's All Folks! See you in 2017" graphic on the Alpine Valley website is only half right. According to MyWalworthCounty.com, Live Nation says that Alpine Valley Music Theatre in East Troy will not host concerts this season, due to a paucity of available artists.

UPAF 50th fund drive: A look at the Milwaukee Children's Choir

Legendary jazz singer and Milwaukee native Al Jarreau dies at 76

Milwaukee-raised jazz singer Al Jarreau died Sunday at his home in Los Angeles at the age of 76. No official cause of death has been reported, but Jarreau had struggled with respiratory problems and last week cancelled all his tour dates due to exhaustion.
