September 2007 Super Spectacular!

Sun, 30 Sep 2007 20:24:29 PDT

* Download September 2007 Show (78 MB)Krambox Radio emerges briefly from hibernation to tell you a little ditty about Jack and Diane. Despite losing our FCC license once again, the song requests keep pouring in, in addition to the record labels wanting Krambox Radio to showcase their artists. Advice to marketing reps at labels: My show gets less listeners per month than kids in my high school class. Granted, Krambox listeners are the most influential listeners in the world (Kanye West asks our resident listeners what's going to be hip), so maybe it's a wash.Additionally, the DJs of Krambox Radio bring you a Krambox first: Remixing a song and putting it out there. Not saying it's any good, but it's fun to try and pretend to be musically talented. Hear for yourself! Also, mad props to the Facebook world for making Krambox Radio an application for you to add and share via Facebook. Add it to your Facebook today! Send your request along today!1. Sun, 19 Mar 2006 13:18:22 PST

Download March Show (69MB: 71 minutes)It's March Madness time, and I hope your brackets have yet to break. I have no idea what's happening in this year's hoops tournament. I've been too busy coming up with an eclectic mix to satisfy your smorgasbord craving.Btw, mad props to "It's Hard Out Here For A Pimp" which won an Oscar for best film song this year. As you may recall, you heard that song featured here first last year. Just further proof that not only is Krambox Radio your best destination for music - it's also the smartest. Well, at least the most prescient.Unclear if any of this month's artists will be up for Oscars next year, but they win my award for good times. Man On the Scene: Superthorn recommends some Ukranian tunes -- stay tuned to the next edition of Krambox where we'll get the download on the Gogol Bordello show. Sat, 04 Feb 2006 16:43:23 PST

Download February Show (69MB: 66 minutes)(if you downloaded the file before Feb 4 at 4pm Pacific, redownload. I had set the quality setting too low, and it sucked. I've re-encoded it, and the quality is much better now. 10MB bigger, but it's worth it. It's why you bought the 30GB iPod anyway)Happy new year, both Western and Chinese!Back from India with a whole bucketful of groovy tunes. So many on the playlist in fact, that we had to cut the show short at 66 minutes, with artists clamoring for more airplay on Krambox Radio. It's because the artists respect you, the listener of Krambox Radio. They make music solely for you. Well, that and fame, fortune, tireless amounts of alcohol, drugs and groupies, too. But mainly for you.The latest edition of Krambox Radio has more of a mix than you'll typically find in tikka chicken masala. Of course, my show won't leave the western gringos scrambling for antacids. Usually. Thanks to my local boys for the inspiration for this week's show: Flegel, Songerw, Dhir, The Suresh, JP, and Buck.Btw, thanks to all of you for clicking on the Krambox Radio ads to make a donation to Thanks to you, we generated more than $36 simply by listening to the show and clicking the ads. Write a review for Krambox Radio at Yahoo Podcasts!

Krambox Radio is back with a special two-part podcast. Thanks to you, the fans, we have two different shows to download. Some of you wanted a show that was mellow, lighter and, frankly, more feminine all the way throughout. We heard you, and answered your requests with some really excellent music. Still others of you demanded hard-core manly music. Enough to make your stomach grumble from the bass lines (or was that the chili cheese corn dog you had for lunch?). Mixed in with your testosterone-packed show is a little social commentary even -- on how even the virtuous can benefit from a little bit of marketing. It's another exciting month...pushing the envelope, on Krambox Radio!

Keep sending your krambox requests. Have you downloaded Odeo yet to sync up with our podcast?

Krambox Radio went on temporary hiatus in August, after contacting The Oracle, who basically advised against radio broadcasts, too much time in the sun, and shellfish. Happily, The Oracle blessed this September show and said it was good. Many new tunes and bands this week. Some movie tunes, and an EXCELLENT cover of a powerful song...but you have to listen to the entire show to get to that cover? (Ok, there are such things as fast forward, but you wouldn't want to hurt my feelings now, would you? Don't answer that.)

The beat goes on with the latest edition of Krambox Radio. Lots of animal songs with Gorillaz and Eels. The Massive Attack leaves Keane M.I.A., so you better send in the Eagles of Death Metal. Man, that was a really lame promo on my part. I'll never do that again. Seriously though: Go buy Eagles of Death Metal. You won't be disappointed.... unless you're expecting an album of death metal.

Welcome to the first show of Krambox Radio. This is my first ever podcast, and boy, is it rough around the edges. If I had something better than a $5.99 microphone from Fry's, it'd probably sound better. Well, it'd probably help if I had a team of sketch writers and amateur musicians to make it more interesting, but hey, I'll take what I can get.

No idea how frequently I'll do this -- maybe once a month? I will say it was a lot of fun to make, and even though the dialogue is pretty sterile, my fan base found it amusing.

Send me any correspondence, love letters, advice or requests to I'll be glad to play whatever you like for your next couples skate around the Roll-a-Rena.

Btw, the sound quality is awful. My microphone rattles, the songs are higher/lower volume depending on the tune. Gimme a break. I'll fix next time.

    This week's show features (32MB):
    1. Nine Inch Nails: Hand That Feeds
    2. Weezer: We Are All on Drugs
    3. Garbage: Til the Day I Die
    4. Cracker: Teen Angst
    5. Dandy Warhols: Bohemian Like You
    6. Tones on Tail: Go
    7. PJ Harvey: This is Love
    8. Hives: Hate to Say I Told You So
    9. Texas: Summer Son

PS. Many thanks to ZoeRadio, a radio station run by a 14-year-old girl, for providing me the inspiration to give this a whirl.
