As we get closer to the spring and summer 2017 season we can without a doubt expect to see more drawstring bucket bags. I love the style, especially in white. I have a white Dolce & Gabbana Drawstring Bucket Bag that has always been my go-to summer casual handbag for over 5 years now. Crazy, huh?! For a white bag, it has really held up to the test of time. Of course, there are special Tips for White Handbag Maintenance. However, I’m about ready to retire that bag for something new and this Lancaster Paris Pur Smooth Optic Mini Bucket Bag is a top contender. It’s only $150. Which sounds fantastic, but I’m a firm believer in “you get what you pay for,” and as someone who has never purchased a Lancaster Bag, I wonder how durable it is. And when I say durable, I’m talking test of time. It probably won’t last as long as a $2500 Dolce & Gabbana Bag, but should get at least a couple summers use. So if you have feedback on Lancaster Handbags I would love to hear it in the comment section!! Also, if white isn’t your color, the Lancaster Paris Pur Smooth Optic ...

When it comes to handbags, Balenciaga without a doubt is not the powerhouse that it once was. Back in the early to mid-2000′s, Balenciaga was at its peak. Since then we’ve had a flood of contemporary designers that offer new fun and trendy styles season after season. For Balenciaga to rely on only one style as their signature piece, such as the City Bag, and to offer season after season only to change the color gets monotonous after a while. Balenciaga does have other styles like the Papier A4 Tote but still, has the same signature hardware look. There still is a Balenciaga fan base of course, but I just don’t hear as many people flocking to pick up the newest color of the season, like before. If you still like this style you can most certainly find it at most department stores. Neiman Marcus has the biggest selection of Balenciaga City Bags online! Pictured above is the Balenciaga Classic Metallic Edge City Bag in beige, $2,125. Looking for a previously released color from a reputable seller? Check out this Spring-worthy turquoise blue Balenciaga city available by What Goes Around Comes Around.

At first glance when I ran across the Kate Spade Candace Satchel, it reminded me of the Chanel Cerf Bag. It pretty much looks identical and definitely scores a B+ when it comes to a look-for-less version. The Kate Spade Candace Satchel is pretty spot on when it comes everyday work style. It has all the features that one looks for in a work purse. First, you have the overly spacious size, which is ideal for anything and everything- laptops, papers, snacks, water bottle, umbrella, etc. The rain protecting top closure- something most people don’t think about until it’s too late. One thing that this bag has that the Chanel Cerf Bag does not, is the zip top closure. Brilliant! I live in Seattle, where it rains every so often, so this is definitely a nice feature to have. I love to use my Cerf Tote on most work-occasions because of the size, clean style, and simple structure. However, on rainy days it has to be left at home. Also, I would say this bag is a little bit more structured than the Chanel Cerf. Not my much, but it definitely has a more blocky look. All and all if you’re looking ...

It seems like the fall and winter season just flew by! However I’m when it comes to color palettes, I’m a huge fan of traditional autumn colors like dark red, burnt orange, mustard yellow, and olive green. These colors were everywhere this fall season, obviously. However, Coach has managed to update the traditional color palette, with the classic Coach 1941 WESTERN embroidery Rogue Bag! Everyone knows off-white looks great during the winter months. Coach managed to build on this idea by creating this off-white tote with a burnt orange vertical stripe. And the flowers are a perfect transition to the spring season. The flowers sort of blend in, while the burnt orange stripe really pops. I can see this handbag making it all the way until spring! Coach 1941 Western Rogue Bag retails for $995. Available in white at available at Saks Fifth Avenue. Also available in black over at Coach

Rebecca Minkoff Power Puff Keychain with a hidden surprise! Remember when the bag charm trend was in full swing a few years back? Lately though, there just don’t seem to be as many out there. What better way to revive the bag charm trend than with a keychain charm that doubles as a tech accessory? At first glance you wouldn’t think there was anything else to the design, but in fact this little fluff ball is actually a phone charger. Pretty cool huh? It’s stylish, and a convient way to store away your phone charger. Being stranded without a phone charger is the worst situation to be in. The Rebecca Minkoff Power Puff Keychain is made of soft rabbit fur, and secretly equipped with USB and lightning charging cables. Attaches to your purse, keychain, or backpack by a lobster-claw style clasp. The Rebecca Minkoff Power Puff Bag Charm is available here at ShopBop

There are not a ton of Australian handbag designers out there, but when a new one pops up it’s always interesting. Here we have Zimmermann, who is one that didn’t necessarily recently pop up- they have been around since 1991. Instead, it’s more like a revival. Zimmermann has been putting out some really beautiful handbag styles and I, for one, am taking notice. Pictured here is one particular style that caught my eye. Take a moment and discover the Zimmermann Circular Link Bag! Somewhere between casual and chic, but with a twist, Zimmermann handbags are said to epitomize Australian style. Now I can’t speak to that since I’m not Australian. What I do know is that this bag is definitely a very fun and unique piece by anyone’s standards. I absolutely love the nude color. It’s such a hot color, even as we progress into the winter months. I also love the linked leather design. It creates such a great, almost crochet-like texture and an interesting pattern. It sort of reminds me of a sunburst in a way. The crossbody strap also adds some versatility to this style, while also helping to maintain that semi-casual element. I think this lovely ...

I literally grew up watching MTV. Back in the good ol’ days, they actually had music videos. Yep, that was basically their entire lineup – blocks of music videos. Of course, I would have to watch when my dad wasn’t home because he did not approve. Too much inappropriate content or something like that. By the time I was able to watch without worry, they had stopped showing as many music videos and had moved on to this new, revolutionary thing called reality TV. Oh well, I still have fond memories of MTV. That is why I was so excited to see this tribute to MTV from Marc Jacobs. Check out the Marc Jacobs Retro MTV Canvas Tote! Who doesn’t need a canvas shopping tote or two? Or three? They are perfect for trips to the farmer’s market and even to the beach! They are so simple and easy to keep on hand just in case you find yourself needing to carry some extra things around. But there is nothing that says a canvas tote needs to be plain or boring. Nope, they can (and should) be fun! That is why I like this tote. What could be more fun ...

You simply cannot go wrong with a basic black handbag. They are versatile, they go with just about anything, work any season, and they make the perfect staple for a well-rounded handbag collection. Not sure where to start? Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered there too! Check out these lovely pieces I have been eying recently. Botkier Bowery Tote – Available Here A simple tote is the perfect bag for everyday. It’s big enough to hold all of your essentials and more. Even comes with an extra pouch! I love this particular tote because it has nice, subtle details that set it apart for other similar pieces. The perfect bag either to the office or using as a weekend tote! The Botkier Bowery Bag retails for $173 (orig $246) Cambridge Satchel Company Poppy Bag – Available Here When I think of the Cambridge Satchel Company, I think of the classic school satchels and not of their full handbag line. They have so much more to offer and this piece is an excellent example of that. I love the classic, retro-ish styling of the Poppy Bag. It’s a bag that you can carry for years to come. Although, the bag is ...

For many people, the holiday season means enduring the stress of finding the perfect gift for that special someone. It can be so hard sometimes, even when you know the person really well. So often do I hear people say- What do you get for the guy who has everything? My honest response is that you can never go wrong with a good work or travel bag.
