Rebecca Minkoff Power Puff Keychain

Sun, 15 Jan 2017 19:30:50 PST

Rebecca Minkoff Power Puff Keychain with a hidden surprise! Remember when the bag charm trend was in full swing a few years back? Lately though, there just don’t seem to be as many out there. What better way to revive the bag charm trend than with a keychain charm that doubles as a tech accessory? At first glance you wouldn’t think there was anything else to the design, but in fact this little fluff ball is actually a phone charger. Pretty cool huh? It’s stylish, and a convient way to store away your phone charger. Being stranded without a phone charger is the worst situation to be in. The Rebecca Minkoff Power Puff Keychain is made of soft rabbit fur, and secretly equipped with USB and lightning charging cables. Attaches to your purse, keychain, or backpack by a lobster-claw style clasp. The Rebecca Minkoff Power Puff Bag Charm is available here at ShopBop

Zimmermann Circular Link Bag

Tue, 03 Jan 2017 13:23:36 PST

There are not a ton of Australian handbag designers out there, but when a new one pops up it’s always interesting. Here we have Zimmermann, who is one that didn’t necessarily recently pop up- they have been around since 1991. Instead, it’s more like a revival. Zimmermann has been putting out some really beautiful handbag styles and I, for one, am taking notice. Pictured here is one particular style that caught my eye. Take a moment and discover the Zimmermann Circular Link Bag! Somewhere between casual and chic, but with a twist, Zimmermann handbags are said to epitomize Australian style. Now I can’t speak to that since I’m not Australian. What I do know is that this bag is definitely a very fun and unique piece by anyone’s standards. I absolutely love the nude color. It’s such a hot color, even as we progress into the winter months. I also love the linked leather design. It creates such a great, almost crochet-like texture and an interesting pattern. It sort of reminds me of a sunburst in a way. The crossbody strap also adds some versatility to this style, while also helping to maintain that semi-casual element. I think this lovely ...

Marc Jacobs Retro MTV Canvas Tote

Tue, 27 Dec 2016 12:33:01 PST

I literally grew up watching MTV. Back in the good ol’ days, they actually had music videos. Yep, that was basically their entire lineup – blocks of music videos. Of course, I would have to watch when my dad wasn’t home because he did not approve. Too much inappropriate content or something like that. By the time I was able to watch without worry, they had stopped showing as many music videos and had moved on to this new, revolutionary thing called reality TV. Oh well, I still have fond memories of MTV. That is why I was so excited to see this tribute to MTV from Marc Jacobs. Check out the Marc Jacobs Retro MTV Canvas Tote! Who doesn’t need a canvas shopping tote or two? Or three? They are perfect for trips to the farmer’s market and even to the beach! They are so simple and easy to keep on hand just in case you find yourself needing to carry some extra things around. But there is nothing that says a canvas tote needs to be plain or boring. Nope, they can (and should) be fun! That is why I like this tote. What could be more fun ...

I love this particular tote because it has nice, subtle details that set it apart for other similar pieces. The perfect bag either to the office or using as a weekend tote! The Botkier Bowery Bag retails for $173 (orig $246) Cambridge Satchel Company Poppy Bag – Available Here When I think of the Cambridge Satchel Company, I think of the classic school satchels and not of their full handbag line. They have so much more to offer and this piece is an excellent example of that. I love the classic, retro-ish styling of the Poppy Bag. It’s a bag that you can carry for years to come. Although, the bag is ...

Thierry Mugler Super Fringe Slim Half-Moon Leather Bag

Thu, 08 Dec 2016 12:40:16 PST

Mugler is a handbag designer that I am not all that familiar with. I honestly can’t think of any of their other handbag styles. Which is surprising because according to their biography, Thierry Mugler has been around since 1974. Apparently, the designer is more well-known for his couture clothing. A quick Google search yielded some interesting images from their fashion shows, which are not my style. Actually, far from my style. However after seeing this super fringe bag that has allowed me to get past all that. In fact, I cannot stop staring at this bag! What do you guys think of the Thierry Mugler Super Fringe Slim Half-Moon Leather Bag? When I say fringe, I am not fooling around. This bag has some impressive Cousin It- inspired fringe. Those strands are almost two feet long- l-i-t-e-r-a-l-l-y! It is amazing to me how an otherwise simple design can take on such a dramatic look. I do like the slim half-moon bag style itself. The rod along the top also gives this piece some rigidity, which I suppose is important if you want to keep that perfect arc of fringe. This is because it helps support and evenly distribute the weight. ...

Anya Hindmarch Georgiana Rubix Cube Giant Pixels Clutch

Tue, 15 Nov 2016 21:44:21 PST

Is it me or does it seem like Anya Hindmarch has been incorporating a lot more color into her handbag collection? Anya has always had a little touch of whimsy, but it seems over the last few years, she has pushed the envelope on many of her purse designs. Smiley faces, patches, playful patterns, fun captions, cool graphics, vibrant colors, and even elements of pop culture have appeared on Anya Hindmarch handbags. However, the piece I have pictured here seems to have taken the whole “colorful” thing literally. The Anya Hindmarch Georgiana Rubix Cube Giant Pixels Clutch is literally a rainbow of colors. They aren’t really arranged in spectrum order, but all of the basic colors are there. The pattern itself though is what I find the most intriguing. The colors are actually individual squares arranged in a V shaped pattern. The word pixels in the name refers to these squares. But, even though this piece is not a cube, the different colored squares sort of remind me of a Rubik’s cube. You know, those frustrating things that tempt you to cheat by removing the stickers from the squares and rearranging them so you can finally get all one color ...

Shearling Handbag Trend- Brunello Cucinelli & Fendi

Mon, 07 Nov 2016 20:53:00 PST

In years past, shearling handbags were popping up left and right around this time. Now that we are officially in Fall, I feel like we should be seeing more shearling bags out there. Right? With so few on store shelves, it’s starting to feel like handbag designers are passing on this classic trend. So what happened to the Shearling Handbag Trend?! Shearling appears on many cozy pieces from vests and coats to scarves and boots. However when it comes to shearling, handbags are by far my favorite. Here are a couple of my favorite picks from the Fall / Winter 2016 collection. Brunello Cucinelli Shearling Monili Bag – Here at Neiman Marcus – $1275 This is one designer we don’t see too often. But Brunello Cucinelli does shearling handbags and they do them very well. I love the shaggier look of this piece, it offers a fresher look than traditional shearling. I also love the contrast created by the beaded strap running down the center. Fendi Peekaboo Shearling Satchel Bag – Here at Neiman Marcus – $7250 Fendi probably has the largest selection of shearling handbags right now. The color-blocking seen on this piece offers a unique look to the ...

Autumn Hues- SALAR Bonnie Bag

Sat, 05 Nov 2016 10:04:40 PDT

I love fall color palettes for their rich and warm tones. I especially love the seasonal hues when it comes to decorating and styling. Fall colors look great on handbags and I think I have a new favorite – Orange! It will give your look a little pop of color without looking too overwhelmingly bright. Also I like to wear earthy tones during the season which orange goes so well with. So now I am on the hunt for a new pumpkin spice orange handbag and I think I found the one – the Bonnie Bag by designers Salar and Francesca. Not familiar with the SALAR? Neither am I! What I do know is that the brand launched in Milan just over 6 years ago, and was quickly recognized by Vogue Italia as an emerging brand to watch. SALAR is all about combining innovative design with time-honored Italian craftsmanship. The result can definitely be seen in the Bonnie Bag! I love the color, of course. But the style itself is gorgeous and unique. The updated hobo styling is both structured and slouchy. And I absolutely adore the tassel and pyramid stud detailing! I see this piece paired with other fall-ready ...

Rebecca Minkoff Laurie Suede Crossbody Bag

Fri, 04 Nov 2016 11:17:48 PDT

Back when the Rebecca Minkoff handbag collection made it’s debut back in 2007 / 2008 I was obsessed, everyone was. The Matinee, Nikki, and Morning After Bag were classics. Do you remember all the minkoff sample sales? Crazy hordes of people would line up just to get one (or 5) of these bags in different colors. Oh how times have changed. I still love Rebecca Minkoff handbags, but not like that anymore. It seems that this designer just hasn’t been the same lately. She went a different direction with her designs…it just isn’t the same. However, every now and then a design does break through the crowd and catch my attention. This is a Rebecca Minkoff style that calls to me. Today I found a gorgeous piece from this designer that really has me excited- Rebecca Minkoff Laurie Crossbody Bag! Just to clarify, this particular version of the Laurie Crossbody Bag is a exclusive. And I can see why! I love this version much better than the flat version found on other sites. There is so much more to this bag than its shape and size though. I am head over heals in love with the colors. You may ...
