Samsung Laptops

The two electronic equipments which are indispensable are laptops and mobile phones. It seems impossible to go out anywhere with out these two.Out of these, laptops are more important as they are very important for presentations during client meetings.I am currently doing my post graduate in management and my laptop is my like part of my life.Be it in classes or for presentations or for client meetings, I take it everywhere with me.Its the best place to take notes and we can quickly browse online for fast information. My old laptop crashed and I was looking for models to buy a new one.I was reading a review at cnet on Samsung Notebook NC 20 laptop and it was just perfect. It matched all my requirements. This cute little laptop has a wide 12.1 inch screen which is just perfect for carrying around and a nice keyboard which feels very comfortable for typing. This laptop also gives me an amazing 6 hours of battery backup, thanks to energy efficient Intel Atom processor.I not only use laptop for presentations but also have a huge collection of movies and songs which I see when I take a break. For that I want a good sound output from my laptop .It has a more powerful 1.6GHz VIA Nano U225 processor and VIA Chrome 9 HC3 Graphics, which provides enough graphics power to playback full HD / 1080p video without any problems.I would strongly suggest my readers to go to your nearest computer shop and try your hands on Samsung NC 20.Please check out this product and feel free to comment or ask any queries that you may have.

* Employee "A" in a company walked up to his manager and asked what myjob is for the day? * The manager took "A" to the bank of a river and asked him to crossthe river and reach the other side of the bank. * "A" completed this task successfully and reported back to themanager about the completion of the task assigned. The manager smiledand said "GOOD JOB"Next day Employee "B" reported to the same manager and asked him the jobfor the day. The manager assigned the same task as above to this personalso. * The Employee "B' before starting the task saw Employee "C"struggling in the river to reach the other side of the bank. He realized"C" has the same task. * Now "B" not only crossed the river but also helped "C" to cross theriver. * "B" reported back to the manager and the manager smiled and said"VERY GOOD JOB"The following day Employee "Q" reported to the same manager and askedhim the job for the day. The manager assigned the same task again. * Employee "Q" before starting the work did some home work andrealized "A", "B" & "C" all has done this task before. He met them andunderstood how they performed. * He realized that there is a need for a guide and training for doingthis task. * He sat first and wrote down the procedure for crossing the river,he documented the common mistakes people made, and tricks to do the taskefficiently and effortlessly. * Using the methodology he had written down he crossed the river andreported back to the manager along with documented procedure andtraining material. * The manger said "Q" you have done an "EXCELLENT JOB".The following day Employee "O' reported to the manager and asked him thejob for the day. The manager assigned the same task again."O" studied the procedure written down by "Q" and sat and thought aboutthe whole task.He realized company is spending lot of money in getting this taskcompleted. He decided not to cross the river, but sat and designed andimplemented a bridge across the river and went back to his manager andsaid, "You no longer need to assign this task to any one".The manager smiled and said "Outstanding job 'O'. I am very proud ofyou."What is the difference between A, B, Q & O????????Many a times in life we get tasks to be done at home, at office, atplay., Most of us end up doing what is expected out of us. Do we feelhappy? Most probably yes. We would be often disappointed when therecognition is not meeting our expectation.Let us compare ourselves with "B". Helping some one else the problemoften improves our own skills. There is an old proverb (I do not knowthe author) "learn to teach and teach to learn". From a company point ofview "B" has demonstrated much better skills than "A" since one moretask for the company is completed."Q" created knowledge base for the team. More often than not, we do thetask assigned to us without checking history. Learning from other'smistake is the best way to improve efficiency. This knowledge creationfor the team is of immense help. Re-usability reduces cost there byincreases productivity of the team. "Q" demonstrated good "team-player"skills,Now to the outstanding person, "O" made the task irrelevant; he createda Permanent Asset to the team.If you notice B, Q and O all have demonstrated "team performance" overan above individual performance; also they have demonstrated a veryinvaluable characteristic known as "INITIATIVE".Initiative pays of every where whether at work or at personal life. Ifyou put initiative you will succeed. Initiative is a continual processand it never ends. This is because this year's achievement is nextyear's task. You cannot use the same success story every year. The story provides an instance of performance, where as measurementneeds to be spread across at least 6-12 months. Consequently performanceshould be consistent and evenly spread.Out-of-Box thinkers are always premium and that is what every oneconstantly looks out for. Initiative, Out-of-Box thinking and commitmentare the stepping stone to success.Initiative should be life long.Think of out of the box !!!!!![...]

u are never lost!

One day a traveler in a remote country town, convinced that he was
on the wrong road, came to a halt in a village. He called one of the
villagers and said to him, "Friend, I need help. I am lost!".
The villager looked at him for a moment and asked, "Do you know
where you are?"
"Yes" said the traveler. "I saw the name of your village as I
The next question posed by the villager was: "Do you know where you
want to go?" "Yes" the traveler replied.
"Then, my friend, you are not lost. You just need directions."

Many of us are in the same position as the traveler. We know where
we are - sometimes dissatisfied, disappointed and experiencing little
peace of mind. And we know where we want to be - at peace, fulfilled
and living life abundantly. Like the traveler, we are not lost - we
just need directions.

It may not take much to find the right road to success, but to reach
it we need an agenda for the present. We need directions for today.

As Abraham Lincoln put it: "Your life cannot go according to a plan
if you have no plan!"

step up and do it!!

As you know, there are two types of people in this world, talkers
and doers. And there are two things that separate the two. One,
is obviously taking action. In order to be a doer and get the
results you desire in life, you must take action. There is no way
around that.

However, did you know there are lots of talkers who do take action,
but never get the results they say they want? They look busy, they
appear busy, they "do" things, but they never get any results. Why
is this? Why are they really talkers even though they "take

The answer is simple: they do not have the right information to
base their action on. And, when their action fails, they do the
same old thing over and over and then go talk about the lack of

The true doer "calibrates" when he or she takes action and doesn't
get the results they desire. They look at what they did, they find
out where they lack knowledge, then they go out and get that
knowledge. Then, and only then, do they take action again, this
time a different action. And they continue to go through this
cycle of taking action and acquiring information until they get the
results they desire. Sometimes this takes a long, long time and
the price is high. But the outcome is ALWAYS the same in the
end--the doer gets the results he desires.

A nice article from Swami Vivekananda....

I once had a friend who grew to be very close to me.

Once when we were sitting at the edge of a swimming pool, she filled the palm of her hand with some water and held it before me, and said this:
"You see this water carefully contained on my hand? It symbolizes Love."
This was how I saw it:

As long as you keep your hand caringly open and allow it to remain there, it will always be there. However, if you attempt to close your fingers round it and try to posses it, it will spill through the first cracks it find,This is the greatest mistake that people do when they meet love...they try to posses it, they demand, they expect... and just like the water spilling out of your hand, love will retrieve from you. For love is meant to be free, you cannot change its nature. If there are people you love, allow them to be free beings .

Give and don't expect.
Advise, but don't order.
Ask, but never demand.

It might sound simple, but it is a lesson that may take a lifetime to truly practice. It is the secret to true love. To truly practice it, you must sincerely feel no expectations from those who you love, and yet an unconditional caring." Passing thought...
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take; but by the moments that take our breath away..... :)

Love Story of Narayana Murthy And Sudha (From Sudha’s Autobiography)It was in Pune that I met Narayan Murty through my friend Prasanna who is now the Wipro chief, who was also training in Telco. Most of the books that Prasanna lent me had Murty’s name on them which meant that I had a preconceived image of the man. Contrary to expectation, Murty was shy, bespectacled and an introvert. When he invited us for dinner. I was a bit taken aback as I thought the young man was making a very fast move. I refused since I was the only girl in the group. But Murty was relentless and we all decided to meet for dinner the next day at 7.30 p.m. at Green Fields hotel on the Main Road,Pune. The next day I went there at 7′ o clock since I had to go to the tailor near the hotel. And what do I see? Mr. Murty waiting in front of the hotel and it was only seven. Till today, Murty maintains that I had mentioned (consciously!) that I would be going to the tailor at 7 so that I could meet him…And I maintain that I did not say any such thing consciously or unconsciously because I did not think of Murty as anything other than a friend at that stage. We have agreed to disagree on this matter.Soon, we became friends. Our conversations were filled with Murty’s experiences abroad and the books that he has read. My friends insisted that Murty was trying to impress me because he was interested in me. I kept denying it till one fine day, after dinner Murty said, I want to tell you something. I knew this was it. It was coming. He said, I am 5′4″ tall. I come from a lower middle class family. I can never become rich in my life and I can never give you any riches. You are beautiful, bright, and intelligent and you can get anyone you want. But will you marry me? I asked Murty to give me some time for an answer. My father didn’t want me to marry a wannabe politician,(a communist at that) who didn’t have a steady job and wanted to build an orphanage…When I went to Hubli I told my parents about Murty and his proposal. My mother was positive since Murty was also from Karnataka, seemed intelligent and comes from a good family. But my father asked: What’s his job, his salary, his qualifications etc? Murty was working as a research assistant and was earning less than me. He was willing to go dutch with me on our outings. My parents agreed to meet Murty in Pune on a particular day at10 a. m sharp. Murty did not turn up. How can I trust a man to take care of my daughter if he cannot keep an appointment, asked my father. At 12noon Murty turned up in a bright red shirt! He had gone on work to Bombay, was stuck in a traffic jam on the ghats, so he hired a taxi(though it was very expensive for him) to meet his would-be father-in-law. Father was unimpressed. My father asked him what he wanted to become in life. Murty said he wanted to become a politician in the communist party and wanted to open an orphanage. My father gave his verdict. NO. I don’t want my daughter to marry somebody who wants to become a communist and then open an orphanage when he himself didn’t have money to support his family. Ironically, today, I have opened many orphanages something, which Murty wanted to do 25 years ago. By this time I realized I had developed a liking towards Murty which could only be termed as love. I wanted to marry Murty because he is an honest man. He proposed to me highlighting the negatives in his life. I promised my father that I will not marry Murty without his blessings though at the same time, I cannot marry anybody else. My father said he would agree if Murty promised to take up a steady job. But Murty refused saying he will not do things in life because somebody wanted him to. So, I was caught between the two most important people in my life. The stalemate continued for three years during which our courtship took us to every restaurant and cinema hall in Pune. In those days, Murty was alw[...]

The essence of TIME!

where we had time to catch-up. Today business paradigm does not allow that. Time is precious. Time lost is opportunity lost, profit lost, growth lost. So in Business today, time is essence. Let me give some relevant comparison to stress the importance of Time.

 Now Beijing Olympics is in full flow. We have 100M, 200M relay and other events. If you want to know the value of ‘one millisecond’‘ask the person who has won a silver medal in Olympics.

 Recently in Spain there was a plane accident in which very few survived. If you ask the person who has survived in the accident, you will then realize the value of ‘one second ‘.

 We invariably get stuck in traffic jams when we go to the station with family to catch a train to go on holiday or to go to another town to attend an important function. The traffic jam happens due to traffic disruptions because of sudden rain or visit of a VVIP or people coming in trucks to attend a political rally. These are common ones which we all experience. We end up sometimes in ‘just missing’ the train. At that time it help us to realize the value of ‘one minute’

 In a big country like ours, number of deserving youngsters do not get job. The personal feelings, difficulties of such people are clearly depicted in many films. Invariably they are shown as ending up as daily wage labourer. Not only that, they show what-all, the person does on getting the first day wage as well as their happy feelings. True. If you ask such of those daily wage labourer, you will realize the value of ‘one day ‘.

 Every week we receive magazines that come out weekly. So the tasks in front of the editor are not simple. He has to decide the cover picture, heading, cover story, total contents, get advertisements, do marketing, do sales, collect receivables etc., etc., Any mistake in any of these will totally affect subsequent week. If you discuss with the editor, he will make you realize the value of ‘a week’

 Our sisters / wife give birth to baby. If you ask a mother who has given birth to a premature baby, she will make you realize the value of ‘one month’.

 If you ask a good student who has failed in his exams (due to unforeseen circumstances or force majeure factors) & who passes after a year then he will make you realize the value of ‘one year’

Time is essence. I am sure you will agree that from time immemorial we know time is precious. So the question to ask us is are we sensitive, to timely completion of work when it comes to our work, at the work place. If not we should. I am sure you will.

All of the scientists on this list died or were injured in their pursuit of knowledge. Many of their sacrifices paved the way for some of the greatest discoveries and inventions known to mankind. What can we learn from these explorers of years gone by? Gaining knowledge often comes with a price … but without a few brave people willing to push the limits, society as we know it would not be the same or.... genuis and good sense are inconstant companions.1. Karl Scheele -- Died from tasting his discoveriesScheele was a brilliant pharmaceutical chemist who discovered many chemical elements, including oxygen (though Joseph Priestley published his findings first), molybdenum, tungsten, manganese, and chlorine. Scheele had the habit of taste-testing his discoveries, and died of symptoms strongly resembling mercury poisoning.2. Jean-Francois De Rozier -- First victim of an air crashDe Rozier was a teacher of physics and chemistry. He took the first manned free flight in a balloon, traveling at an altitude of 3,000 feet. Later, De Rozier planned a crossing of the English Channel from France to England, but after reaching 1,500 feet the balloon deflated, causing him to fall to his death.3. Sir David Brewster -- Nearly blindedSir David was a Scottish inventor, scientist, and writer. He performed a chemical experiment in 1831, which nearly blinded him. While his vision did return, he was plagued with eye troubles until his death. Brewster is well known for having been the inventor of the kaleidoscope.4. Elizabeth Ascheim -- Killed by X-RaysElizabeth Ascheim gave up her job as a bookkeeper to undertake studies in electrical science. Eventually she bought an x-ray machine, and she and her husband spent some years experimenting with it, using themselves as subjects. Unfortunately they did not realize the consequences of their lack of protection and Elizabeth died of an extremely widespread and violent cancer.5. Alexander Bogdanov -- Killed himself with bloodBogdanov was a Russian physician, philosopher, economist, science fiction writer, and revolutionary. In 1924, he began experiments with blood transfusion upon himself, but he did not test the health of the blood he was using. In 1928, Bogdanov took a transfusion of blood infected with malaria and tuberculosis, and died shortly after.6. Robert Bunsen -- Blinded himself in one eyeRobert Bunsen is probably best known for having given his name to the Bunsen burner, which he helped to popularize. He started out his scientific career in organic chemistry, and nearly died twice of arsenic poisoning. Shortly after that, he lost the sight in his right eye after an explosion of cacodyl cyanide.7. Sir Humphrey Davy -- A catalog of disastersSir Humphrey Davy, a brilliant British chemist and inventor, was fired from his job at an apothecary because he caused too many explosions! When he eventually took up the field of chemistry, he had a habit of inhaling the various gasses he was dealing with. This bad habit led to his discovery of the anesthetic properties of nitrous oxide; it also led to him nearly killing himself on many occasions. The frequent poisonings left him an invalid for the remaining two decades of his life. During this time he also permanently damaged his eyes in a nitrogen trichloride explosion.8. Michael Faraday -- Suffered chronic poisoningThanks to the injury to Sir Humphrey Davy's eyes, Faraday became an apprentice to him. He went on to improve on Davy's methods of electrolysis and to make important discoveries in the field of electromagnetics. But like Davy, Faraday also suffered damage to his eyes in a nitrogen chloride explosion. He spent the remainder of his life suffering chronic chemical poisoning.9. Marie Curie (pictured above) -- Died of radiation exposureIn 1898, Curie and her husband, Pierre, discovered radium. She spent the[...]

Lord Dharamraj asks him: Please tell me who are you, so that I may know

The guy replies: I am Banta Singh, taxi driver from New Delhi!

Lord Dharamraj consults his ledger, smiles & says to Banta Singh: Please

Now it is the priest's turn. He stands erect and speaks out in a booming

Bush asks how he knows if they're intelligent. "I do so by asking

Bush watches as Kalam phones Manmohan Singh and says,

thinks twice about assisting fellow employees, and he always

finishes given assignments on time. Often Vivek takes extended

measures to complete his work, sometimes skipping coffee

breaks. Vivek is a dedicated individual who has absolutely no

vanity in spite of his high accomplishments and profound

knowledge in his field. I firmly believe that Vivek can be

classed as a high-calibre employee, the type which cannot be

dispensed with. Consequently, I duly recommend that Vivek be

promoted to executive management, and a proposal will be

sent away as soon as possible.

Breathing And Relaxation To Find An Insomnia Cure

The deeper and slower you breathe the more relaxed and sedated you will become. Numerous breathing and relaxation techniques are available that you can learn to use to promote relaxation and relieve stress.Sleeping with the window open will help the air to circulate in your bedroom and fill your lungs with fresh air. Relaxation techniques will help your body to wind down and prepare for the sleep cycle.Try this breathing technique when you first get into bed:Take a deep breath. Breathe in through your nose and visualize the air moving down to your stomach. Breathe out slowly through your mouth. As you breathe in again, silently count to four. Purse your lips as you exhale slowly. This time count silently to eight.Repeat this process six to ten times. The results of this breathing technique are immediate. You will feel your shoulders and arms relaxing. Your chest will feel less constricted and you will feel less stress and tension.Practice this breathing technique on a daily basis so that it becomes routine for you and helps to induce natural sleep. As well as using breathing techniques to encourage natural sleep you can try several relaxation exercises. Let these exercises relax your mind and allow your body to unwind and surrender to sleep.Try the following relaxation exercise before you get into bed:Lay on your back on the floor with your feet slightly apart, your hands by your sides, and your palms turned upward. Close your eyes and concentrate on every part of your body.Begin at the top of your head and work your way down to your toes.Start by feeling your forehead tense, then your eyes, face, and jaw. Tense and release each muscle group, such as your shoulders and neck.Pay attention to each area of your body from the top of your head, down through the trunk of your body, along your legs, and ending at the tips of your toes.Stay in this relaxed condition for a few minutes. Concentrate on your breathing and let all worry and stress dissipate from your mind and body. Make sure that your breathing comes from deep in your stomach and flows slowly and evenly.Stretch slowly before standing up.This exercise will tell your body and mind that it can settle down, leaving behind thoughts of worry, fear, and stress. There are many more techniques and exercises available to promote deep breathing and relaxation and you will need to find a method works best for you.The Role Of Meditation In Finding An Insomnia CureMeditation can certainly both encourage and promote relaxation. The more relaxed you feel as you get ready for bed, the better your chances of falling into a deep and restful sleep cycle.Stress, tensions, and worries will keep you from falling asleep. Meditation can help you achieve a relaxed state and focus your mind on peace and harmony. Many different types of meditations exist for you to choose from, each with numerous adaptations and versions. To get you started, this simple technique can prove very effective:Find a focal point for your meditation – something about which you can think and on which you can focus your full attention. This can be a candle, a mantra (a phrase that you repeat over and over in your mind to establish harmony and to focus on your meditation), a stone, or something as simple as the sound of your own breathing. No matter what you use as your focal point, you want to continuously and firmly bring your mind back to that focal point. All other thoughts and distractions that drift through your mind must be pushed out.If you are beginning to include meditation in your nighttime routine you should remember that this type of meditation requires a gr[...]

*Let's say it's 6.15p m and you're going home (alone of **course), after an
unusually hard day on the job. *
You're really tired, upset and frustrated.

Suddenly you start experiencing severe pain in your
chest that starts to adiate out into your arm and up
into your jaw. You are only about five miles from the
hospital nearest your home. Unfortunately you don't
know if you'll be able to make it that far. You have
been trained in CPR, but the guy that taught the
course did not tell you how to perform it on yourself.

Since many people are alone when they suffer a heart
attack, without help, the person whose heart is beating
improperly and who begins to feel faint, has only
about 10 seconds left before losing consciousness.

However, these victims can help themselves by coughing
repeatedly and very vigorously. A deep breath should
be taken before each cough, and the cough must be deep
and prolonged, as when producing sputum from deep
inside the chest.
*A breath and a cough must be repeated about every two **
seconds without let-up until help arrives, or until
the heart is felt to be beating normally again. *

*Deep breaths get oxygen into the lungs and coughing **
movements squeeze the heart and keep the blood
circulating. The squeezing pressure on the heart also
helps it regain normal rhythm. In this way, heart
attack victims can get to a hospital. Tell as many
other people as possible about this. It could save
their lives!!

Put about 100 bricks in some particular order in a closed
room with an open window.

Then send 2 or 3 candidates in the room and close the door.

Leave them alone and come back after 6 hours and then analyze
the situation.

If they are counting the bricks.
Put them in the accounts department.

If they are recounting them..
Put them in auditing.

If they have messed up the whole place with the bricks.
Put them in engineering.

If they are arranging the bricks in some strange order.
Put them in planning.

If they are throwing the bricks at each other.
Put them in operations.

If they are sleeping.
Put them in security.

If they have broken the bricks into pieces.
Put them in information technology.

If they are sitting idle.
Put them in human resources.

If they say they have tried different combinations, yet
not a brick has been moved.
Put them in sales.

If they have already left for the day.
Put them in marketing.

If they are staring out of the window.
Put them on strategic planning.

And then last but not least.
If they are talking to each other and not a single brick has been moved.

Congratulate them and put them in top management.

If you think you are beaten you are;
If you think you dare not, you don't;
If you want to win but think you can't;
It's almost a cinch you won't.

If you think you'll lose you're lost;
For out of the world we find
Success begins with a fellow's will;
It's all in a state of mind.

If you think your outclassed, you are
you've got to think high to rise
you have got to be sure
even before you can win a prize

Life's battles don't always go
To the stronger and faster man,
But sooner or later the man who wins

Wat if other directors made Taare Zameen Par?! good one!

If Karan Johar made TaareObvious starcast:Shah Rukh Khan as the arts teacher (duh duh duh!!).Aryan Khan as the dyslexic child (even if he could not act for nuts).Rani Mukerjee as the kid’s mom (assuming Kajol is unavailable).Abhishek Bachchan as the kid’s dad.Amitabh Bachchan as the school principal (who cares if the role is ultra minute, he can afford it).It would be shot in New York to appeal to the NRI audience. The story line would obviously be different. SRK would fall for the dyslexic kid’s mom. The last scene would have the mom running to the teacher rather than the kid. And again, like in so many other movies, SRK would get someone else’s girl.It would have one dance number. The film would be titled ‘Kuch Taare Zameen Par.’If Sanjay Leela Bhansali made TaareObvious starcast:Salman as the teacher.Rani as the mother.Of course the whole film would be shot on elaborate sets. The school would be nothing short of Harvard university. An orchestra would play every time anyone cried.Slow motion, different camera angles for every scene. The school uniforms would match the classroom wallsThe film would cost 60 crores. If Farah Khan made TaareObvious starcast:SRK as the teacher (yawn). In the original Taare, Aamir makes an entry at the interval point. In Farah’s version, SRK would be on screen on for 2.30 hrs out of the 2.45 hrs and would be introduced in the first scene itself. The story would be changed to make sure the above happened. The focus of the film would be a teacher who helps a kid fight dyslexia. To make it a complete entertainer, there would be a romantic angle, comedy, and action thrown in. Oh idea!! Nikumbh’s character likes another teacher and the kiddo helps him.. throw in some comedy moments there and you have romance and comedy settled. For action.. hmm.. lemme see.. oh yah, the kid gets kidnapped and the teacher fights the baddies to save him. Wow!! I’m quite an imaginative writer. I can see how Farah can write a film from scratch in two weeks straight. The film posters would have a big SRK with the tiny image of the kid in the background. If Rakesh Roshan made TaareObvious starcast:Hrithik Roshan as the teacher.Since Rakesh Roshan cannot think beyond science fiction these days, this film would have that too. Instead of dyslexia, the kid would have alienositis or something, a condition induced due to him witnessing an alien abduction.Instead of Nikumbh being an arts teacher, he would be a physics teacher, and instead of asking kids to be creative, he would ask them to challenge the science we know.In the scene where Nikumbh asks the kids to open their minds and make whatever they want outdoors, the kid Ishaan, instead of making a boat, would end up making a working spaceship prototype.Nikumbh would cure the kids problem by making a full fledged version of the kid’s prototype, traveling to the alien planet, and asking them to give the kid his powers back. The film would have music by Rajesh Roshan ripped off from some world music. The film’s name would again start with a K.. probably ‘Kuch Aliens Taaron se Zameen Par’.The director would make sure Hrithik gets to show all his abilities. This would mean a scene with Roshan jr flexing his muscles, and a dance competition in the end, instead of an arts competition.[...]
