Thank you for all that you gave so freely. Although brief, I feel that this group has become part of the fabric of my life for which I am enriched.

Hello everyone,

Marcelo's post perhaps hints at a communication I had with him a few days ago. I've decided to withdraw from the group at this time. Many of you know that I've been trying to reduce the amount of time I spend in front of the computer. There are several reasons why, but it boils down to this: I feel much more alive, expansive and conected to myself and the world around me when I'm not using the computer a lot.

In this day and age, it seems difficult to pursue photography and share my work without a lot of computer time. So I have recently shifted my creative energy back towards dance, theater and music. These arts seem to be a better fit for what I am seeking in my life at this time.

I feel tremendous gratitude and appreciation for the opportunity to spend this time with you, and I have enjoyed every moment of it. To see you all and be seen by you all in this way is an honor.

If anyone wishes to continue this group, I will assign you as a moderator and give you whatever information you need to carry on the torch.

Hands palm-to-palm, bowing from the heart,

Chris

I suppose this assignment has been the last stage of this wonderful journey.

I would like to thank all of you for spending your priceless time in this project.

When I took this photograph my mind was totally still, silence and a gentle drizzle were my companions in this exercise.
I walked the first nineteen steps with my eyes half-closed. I took my camera fitted with a 50mm. I made a reading to get the right exposure and started to walk the seven last steps which formed the radius of the circle in which I was going to take all my pictures.

In that moment I couldn’t help of thinking in all of you trying to make your best. I deeply wished you were happy.

Before taking the first picture I waited for a while to erase of my mind all the preconceived ideas about this assignment. When I was taking the pictures I heard some people coming, then I move the camera to the sound, and took the photograph deliberately out of focus.

Without looking at the screen I knew that this was the image reflecting the spirit of this assignment so I went home, converted it to jpg, resize and sent you with any PS treatment, finally I deleted the rest of the series.

I didn’t feel any kind of desperation, anxiety or any bad feelings, on the contrary I felt very comfortable and extremely happy visualizing the varied range of artistic possibilities of every framing. As usual I was totally absorbed in my work so I didn’t notice what was happened around me.

a bow.
