Please read this blog post for a security advisory regarding Subtext 1.9.5. The fix is relatively quick and painless to apply.

I've written a tentative roadmap here. This will be a work in progress...

The easiest way to get involved is to get a copy of the source code via CVS using anonymous access and start submitting patches via https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=137896&atid=739981.
For the sake of my sanity, I'm going to try to keep CVS write access to a minimum in the beginning.
Be sure to submit feature requests and bugs in the source forge site.
I've set up two mailing lists, one for users (subtext-users@lists.sourceforge.net
) and one for devs (subtext-devs@lists.sourceforge.net
). These will probably overlap a bit, but we should try to keep the devs list focused on active development.
Also, there are various roles that project members can take. If you're interested in contributing via a role, let me know.
Release Technicians
can make the file releases (any project admin also a release technician)
Snapshot Managers
can produce file snapshot releases if this feature has been enabled by site admins
Tool Technicians (T)
can be assigned Bugs/Tasks/Patches
Tool Admins (A)
can make changes to a Bugs/Tasks/Patches Tracker as well as make settings changes to that Tracker
Tool No Permission (N/A)
Developer doesn't have specific permission (currently equivalent to '-')
Moderators (forums)
can delete messages from the project forums
Editors (doc. manager)
can update/edit/remove documentation from the project.
Project web space write access
can be restricted using the "Allow access to shell server group space" option.

Subtext is the next best thing to sliced bread for bloggers who want to run a blogging engine using SQL Server 2000 and ASP.NET.
Subtext is a fork of .TEXT. For more information, see the announcement at http://haacked.com/archive/2005/05/04/2953.aspx
