Because of too much french fries and soy milk...

Sun, 17 Jun 2012 18:26:00 +0000

So I decided to write again. I thought that I would never update this blog any more. I even forgot my password --what a shame! Anyways, still the same old me who likes saying anyways -- and so too -- in my every write up. Blame it to my very limited vocabulary! I just finished eating one large french fries as my first meal of the day. Oh wait, couple that with a glass of soy milk that caused my left nipple to shrink. The last two statements have no connection to the first ones. At all!  You see, told you that I am still the same. I still have this digressing writing skills and it's getting even worse in the past years. It's funny how this kind of writing skills gets worse when you are not writing at all. Tell me, you think so too. Don't bother to continue reading as this is a pure ramble. I am warning you now so I won't be expecting you to give any shitty side comments as this post gets shitty (as it is supposed to).

It's past 2AM now and few hours ago I had the most regretful risk I took. Ever. And I tell you, sometimes not taking risks at all is a better option than the opposite. Yeah, contrary to those people who advise me to do the opposite as that is what life is about. But the heck, who are they to tell me what my life is about? I just followed their advice and few days from now I will be receiving probably the most dreadful criticisms I will have in this life. And those are no constructive ones for sure. Those damn judgmental people. I wouldn't expect anything less from them. Now I am hoping that the best physicist there is in this planet would have his eureka moment now and invent time machine, whatever it is that could make me turn back time.

Okay, that was a complete nonsense. I am digressing again. Let's get back to my shrinking nipple. Seriously, I think I get this because of this soy milk addiction. They said too much soy milk could even cause a cancer. But then, I think I think too much. In fact, my case is not too much. (So, you just read too much of too much. There's still more of it don't worry too much haha). I mean I only drink about 400 mL per day and I read even 2 liters is not too much for a day. Anyways, too much or not, still my left nipple is shrinking. What to do? what to do? I repeat, what to do, what to do with this shrinking nipple? Somebody heeeelp me!

On large french fries, I have been a fan of Mcdonad's buy one take one free large fries for the past few weeks. I know it's too much, okay. But who would not for just 50 bucks? And that could fill about one third of my required daily calorie intake. So if ever you visit me here in Taiwan, I buy you a........french fries!

Last digression, forgive me please. I just want to redeem myself and would try to make any sensible point here. I don't want to waste your time because you decided to continue on reading. And that's too much kindness of you when I already warned you not to. So, now I have proven that too much of saying too much something is really bad enough (and spice girls did not exist for nothing haha you sure know the connection). May it be too much soy milk, french fries, or just anything. Sigh... I hope that it's only about those small little things. But, it's not. I put too much trust in someone. Someone I barely know and I think I had given this person too much information about...too-complicated-to-tell, that I would be regretting I did. I hope I figured it wrong though. Still giving this person the benefit of the doubt and hope that everything will fall into the right place despite what happened.

Time to make amends. I am better than THAT. Crossing my fingers on this and still being positive.

Bad note: Just be sensitive. You don't know how depressed I am today!

Good note: My intuition is getting better.

The Rite -- Not All Right

Wed, 09 Feb 2011 14:12:00 +0000

Director: Mikael HåfströmWriters: Michael Petroni, Matt BaglioStars: Colin O'Donoghue, Anthony Hopkins and Ciarán HindsIt's been since 2009, I think, when I last made a movie review and I remember, I promised myself that whenever I make reviews, the film must really be a good one (so that I would only post positive commentaries and so to avoid being a critic that I am not!).Anyway, obviously this review is for the movie, The Rite. The movie is not good; but is not that bad neither. Oh yeah, forgive me for the usual blah! I just mentioned 'not good' and just lost my integrity for still making a review on this! Haha! Okay, let's just say, I am now possessed --minus the spinning head and pea-soup and high-angled projectile puke-- by the devil and it is him writing this. LOL!So, speaking of the devil...Hafstrom perfectly places him (the devil) on the limelight to creep the hell out of all of us. Apparently though, it will always go without saying that this is like what any other exorcism film maker would do. But I challenge you to give this film a chance to attest itself that this isn't another The Exorcist, or a copy cat of The Exorcism of Emily Rose, and you'll be surprised with the team's few attempts to have it more edgy over the other films of its genre.Let me start with Haftrom's unique idea of preventing the movie from being conveyed as another cliche, by his attempt to put a different attack on Michael Kovak's (O'Donogheu) struggle on faith. The usual arguments, "Is there really a God?", "I can't do this and that because I lack faith (in God).", and whatnot, are replaced with, "How do I (O’Donoghue) take the devil away when I do not believe in him in the first place?", and..*insert any other statements on disbelief on devil's existence. This approach also poses a call for atheists to do a tweak on their premise, that they may yet prove themselves worthy not to be called fools :D Okay, forgive me (father) for I have digressed! Haha!Another thing that's worth to mention, and I think the best asset of the movie, is its cinematography. Thanks to Ben Davis' admirable talent. Honestly and without exaggeration, I have never seen a movie yet that has as much creative camera works and perspective. The camera crawls in every scene with purpose --whether to scare you or to give you (false) expectations that in the next scene you'll be in dread, or screaming. Fast, precise and sharp shift of focus never compromises the scene's sense of art, especially during detail-defining shots. But since those are aided by technology, let alone Davis' creative playful mind shown through uniquely-angled shots from frame to frame, the movie can brag and will never be ashamed of showing off its ass if, or when, commended for its cinematography. However, the brilliance ends there! As far as the acting is concerned, O’Donoghue is so-so. Emotions are flat and he is, in general, blank. He could have pulled-off a more effective mortician-turned-seminarist guy who eversince from his childhood has resentments to God after her mother died. But nah. Father Lucas (Anthony Hopkins) even outshines O’Donoghue..he is very realistic, and his role as the key character to Kovak's turning point is well justfiied. And before I forget to mention, the spooky echoing whispers of the demon that is supposed to frighten the audience becomes annoying. I don't know why, but that is what I felt for it. Nevertheless, the rest of the sound effects sure do a good job as far as the film's effectivity in giving goosebumps is concerned. There. That's how I see The Rite. It's just right, but not all right. Still worth the watch though! I give it 8.5/10 :)[...]

Ride On!

Mon, 31 Jan 2011 23:57:00 +0000

One of my colleagues in the company where I work for has a new pick-up ride! It was given to her by the company and I was like..WOAH! I wish I could have one too...Okay, that was a joke! That was not really my reaction ;)I was just quiet and quietly wishing that I could drive a pick-up too, and yes I am choosy and want this Chevrolet Silverado :D

Okay, enough for a wishful thinking now...and yeah I would digress 'coz someone from Texas just hit my blog and since I value my readers, here's to you: you prolly have a ride and still didn't know of Dallas auto repair...(okay now you know! :))) and you might someday need to fix your brake and yes, they do brake job there!

So there, click away buddy!

New Website. Own Domain. Finally!

Fri, 21 Jan 2011 12:58:00 +0000

I remember, I have been wanting to have my own domain ever since I learned that I can earn more moolah than my blogspot-tailed url can promise! (Whaaaat? LOL!) but I changed my mind and decided to put up a different site instead. Yeah, I let go of giving this blogspot his own identity -- but relax and wait my blogspot, we'll come to that point! :D

-----
My new webspace is where I post all the photos I have taken with my pentax k-x, my new buddy! Yes, it is a photoblog and it is the first item I am slashing off in my to-accomplish list this 2011! Woot! I do not do own hosting though. Perhaps in few months' time, and I will yet consider this webhosting site. For now, I will just read their webhosting reviews, and i'll see which plan's the best.

I'll make a separate post for the link of my new site! :)

Repost: On Vacation

Fri, 14 Jan 2011 06:48:00 +0000

I was browsing my archives and found this post. I was just a student then who always craves for a break and wishes that college would be over -- and yeah it did happen! But sadly, I learned that because college is over does not mean I got plenty of breaks and vacations! In other words, be careful with what you wish for blah blah blah! :)))

------

Yeah. It's official. But, ugh, I can't seem to organize some plans for this much awaited break! Hmm, I'm thinking though -- if I can just let things happen spontaneously. No plans. No schedules. No schemes at all. Hmm, that, I hope, would be more exciting. Nah. I'm sure that that is a better idea. Yeah. Because, whatever happened to the time tables and working plans I made that I promise myself would have followed in the entire semester? Yeah right, it worked. And yeah, I don't mean that!

Well, now I'm dreaming. Ever heard of SeaSide? Uhm, that's just a place to pamper yourself. All right, that is being sketchy of me. So, uhm, that place is actually a first-class resort where the 4-star Myrtle Beach Hotel is located and where the white sandy beach is just footsteps away. Argh. I'm drooling to experience the luxurious Myrtle Beach vacation deals even for this short break that I have. Oh, that is a total drivel! But for the people who can go there for real, well, I tell you...staying at the SeaSide would be boring without their world-class amenities. Would you not enjoy their helicopter tour package? Or their so called enchanted sailing charters? Or the first-class spa service? or whatnot? Here, http://www.grandeshores.com, click away!!!

Related to Previous Post!

Fri, 07 Jan 2011 13:13:00 +0000

I did mention from my previous post that college has been a great experience! Okay, I only mentioned that it was fun but the former was what I was trying to imply...

One of these great and fun experiences, I remember, was when I got to plant 13 trees! Fun, because I was with my friends when I did that. And great, because...do I still need to explain? I'm sure you know why! :)

Because of that, I am now a certified Planter! Haha! An Outdoor Planter to be more specific! And because you like this post and you love plants, you are checking this Garden Planters' website! :D

Fond of Teaching!

Fri, 07 Jan 2011 12:33:00 +0000

When I opened my facebook a while ago, I saw a friend of mine posted on his wall that he misses college! We had graduated just last year and oh yeah, he already wants to go back to everyday of sleepless nights, every week of exams, and to feel again the agony of awaiting the results! Who would want that, raise your hand!!

*I'm raising my hand!!* Hahaha!

Yeah, without being sarcastic, I miss college too! All of the things I listed above were just a fraction of the whole college life! It's just too many to mention the rest parts that make up the majority -- the fun part! So people, help me overcome this fond-ness... who wants Chemistry Help? Physics Help? Or just any Homework Help? I might be of help! :)

Sports betting, anyone?

Sat, 01 Jan 2011 01:36:00 +0000

I have never done this before and never will I in the future! But I have known some who make their living thru sports betting. And they even get rich because of it.

Tempting, isn't it? Haha. So for those of you who like this kind of stuff, check this sports betting site! You can choose from basketball to baseball to soccer and even to sports for handicappers!

All right, I wish you luck! :)

I miss my sister...

Sat, 01 Jan 2011 01:09:00 +0000

It's our first time to celebrate new year without my sister. She is now 6-7 hours away from us and we are missing her...

Happy moments with her flash back everytime I see someone wearing hospital nurse uniform . We can still get in touch with her though. Thanks to the one who invented the internet!

----
Off topic, I am an engineering graduate but I think wearing medical uniforms is cool! And these are dickies medical uniforms, cool indeed huh! LOL.

Happy this new year!

Sat, 01 Jan 2011 00:52:00 +0000

I am very excited on what God has in store for me this 2011! For sure that's gonna be great! Who could go wrong with God's plans anyway?

And since it's new year, I have to be renewed as well! Haha. You know, trying new things, going out of my comfort zone, and all that old stuff that one is resolving during this first day of the year!
So, speaking of new things, I've decided, I will have my own domain now and will do own hosting for it! Cheers!

I have checked this webhosting site and they summarized some of the best deals on webhosting in the wide web! Click away folks and let's all have a happy new year! :D

Ang tagal na...

Fri, 04 Jun 2010 15:23:00 +0000

Tulad ngayon...

(Ewan ko. Hindi ko alam kung matatapos ko 'to. Kapag nabasa mo 'to, nagawa kong i-publish, at congrats sa'ting dalawa!

On Travelling

Sat, 03 Apr 2010 05:09:00 +0000

Good Morning People!

Just got home from a vacation. It was kind of spontaneous trip this holy week because we haven't booked or reserved accommodations to any beach resorts. The trip was either in San Juan or Calatagan, Batangas. But since it was unplanned, fate brought us to Nasugbu. Haha!

So there, after 7 hours of travelling and searching of a beach resort that has a good accommodation and beautiful sceneries, we ended up at Kawayan Cove. But no regrets because the place was a hidden paradise in Batangas. Here (photo from flickr.com):

(image)

But I tell you, 7 hours of travel is no joke, especially when you don't know where you're heading to and worse when you travel on a rough road. And yes, we experienced that! But luck was still on our side because we haven't experienced being stranded in the middle of nowhere, where car repair shops are nowhere to be found. Imagine if we were to replace the head gasket of the our ride? Hmmm, maybe it would have taken us more than 12 hours for the travel alone. I hope we also have this Los Angeles Auto Repair in our country, which we can access online! The site also offers specific auto repair service such as for Ford Explorer, Audi A6, etc. But as for a longterm solution, those rough roads must be reconstructed to smooth, hassle-free roads. Hello, 2010 Batangas Offices' Election Candidates!

Repost: On Relieving Stress

Sat, 03 Apr 2010 04:56:00 +0000

I've been finding ways to relieve my stress brought about by my weekly deliverable on my major major subject. Yeah, you've read it right, major major! I have four major subjects this semester and this major major subject I am talking about is the most stressful one -- plant design that includes mass balance, energy balance, leaching, ball milling, mixing, crystallization, melting, etc, etc. Oh, yeah! It really is a nerve-cracking subject. If only I can fast-forward time and make this all over....sigh.

So, what do I do?I need a break. Some suggestions I got are...watch movie, time zone, videoke, trekking, or just sleep all day. I think the latter was the most appropriate for now since I haven't got enough sleep since last last last week, no exaggeration! Instead of doing that, however, I choose to spend my time in front of my laptop which includes doing some research yet again for this major major subject and of course, blogging!

Well, I just have to blog this one for my readers on the other side of the earth. If you're seeking an online site wherein you can buy Michael Buble Tickets, you're lucky for landing on my blogsite! :) Not only that, at that site, you can also buy Augusta National Golf Course Tickets for its many events (which can also be seen there). And there's more folks! They also extend their service to selling Air Canada Centre Tickets of different concerts, theater acts, and sports events there. So there! relieve your stress and enjoy!

Farewell

Thu, 25 Mar 2010 18:11:00 +0000

I miss my REAL life. Gusto ko nang bumalik...

Where have I gone? T_T

worth the read

Tue, 02 Mar 2010 17:38:00 +0000

Daydream delusion,
Limousine eyelash
Oh Baby! With your pretty face
Drop a tear in my wineglass
Look at those big eyes
See what you mean to me
Sweet-cakes and milkshakes
I'm delusion angel
I'm fantasy parade
I want you to know what I think
Don't want you to guess anymore
You have no idea where I came from
We have no idea where we're going
Lodged in life
Like branches in a river
Flowing downstream
Caught in the current
I'll carry you
You'll carry me
That's how it could be
Don't you know me?
Don't you know me by now?

If not for You, God...

Tue, 23 Feb 2010 11:56:00 +0000

Job 381Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,2Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?3Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me.4Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding5Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it6Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;7When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?8Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth, as if it had issued out of the womb9When I made the cloud the garment thereof, and thick darkness a swaddlingband for it,10And brake up for it my decreed place, and set bars and doors,11And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed12Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days; and caused the dayspring to know his place;13That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it14It is turned as clay to the seal; and they stand as a garment.15And from the wicked their light is withholden, and the high arm shall be broken.16Hast thou entered into the springs of the sea? or hast thou walked in the search of the depth17Have the gates of death been opened unto thee? or hast thou seen the doors of the shadow of death?18Hast thou perceived the breadth of the earth? declare if thou knowest it all.19Where is the way where light dwelleth? and as for darkness, where is the place thereof20That thou shouldest take it to the bound thereof, and thou shouldest know the paths to the house thereof?21Knowest thou it, because thou wast then born? or because the number of thy days is great22Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail23Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?24By what way is the light parted, which scattereth the east wind upon the earth?25Who hath divided a watercourse for the overflowing of waters, or a way for the lightning of thunder;26To cause it to rain on the earth, where no man is; on the wilderness, wherein there is no man27To satisfy the desolate and waste ground; and to cause the bud of the tender herb to spring forth?28Hath the rain a father? or who hath begotten the drops of dew?29Out of whose womb came the ice? and the hoary frost of heaven, who hath gendered it30The waters are hid as with a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen.31Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion?32Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons33Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth34Canst thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may cover thee?35Canst thou send lightnings, that they may go and say unto thee, Here we are?36Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts? or who hath given understanding to the heart37Who can number the clouds in wisdom? or who can stay the bottles of heaven,38When the dust groweth into hardness, and the clods cleave fast together?39Wilt thou hunt the prey for the lion? or fill the appetite of the young lions,40When they couch in their dens, and abide in the covert to lie in wait?41Who provideth for the raven his food? when his young ones cry unto God, they wander for lack of meat.[...]

I Can Only Write...

Mon, 15 Feb 2010 13:58:00 +0000

Again.

This weird feeling has been bugging me out. And everytime this happens, I want to write. I miss blogging. I mean, I am not doing my task due tomorrow just to write something on how I feel right now. Okay that's a joke. I'll do this quick, anyway. Enough of the past now. This is about last night. When I had realized, yes -- finally, it's over. It's been really fast and that's not me. I am the type who does not know how to get over with something that disappoints me, or saddens me, or, all right, something that breaks me, or my heart perhaps. I am now experiencing a fast shift of feeling. Is it too late if I let you know about this? We only got 2 months or so. And I want to spend that little time with you, as much as I could possibly do. But, you know me as a joke. And that deplores me more than any forms of world's frustrations. Am I really funny? Do I look like a clown to you? I wish I could change the way you've been treating me. Perhaps I am not yet ready to do that, or it might be a fear of seeing myself being turned down. Either way is a lame reason.

You see, I cannot even organize my thoughts. That's why I am posting this here. You are not reading this blog, are you? But, by any chance, just in case you feel that someone is writing a blogpost for you, and you are able to sense whenever someone is thinking of you, I hope this gives you a hint of what I really feel for you. I'm SERIOUS, and NOT JOKING this time. So, I wish you give me a chance.

Would you?

Repost: TV Escapades!

Mon, 01 Feb 2010 14:39:00 +0000

My major subjects have been stressing me lately, so I had been squeezing between the last of my free schedules some quality "me and my TV" time. It just happens that sometimes, limited as the channels available here are, I end up watching really awful TV programs. Ugh!

There are various cable providers available here in my country, but sometimes there are just not enough channels. How I wish that Direct TV would have their service extended here in our country and I'm sure that their promo would be a hit. Or it can be the other way around - we move to US, in New York perhaps, and subscribe to DirectTV in New York right away. hehe. But oh, Directv also has a variety of special offers, not to mention the various channels they can put into your TV itineraries! LOL!

Anyway, if that could not be possible, I think I should find another way of setting off my stress. Hmmm...what about videoke? Who wants to join me? Raise your hand! :D

Gotta Really Love Math

Sun, 17 Jan 2010 10:32:00 +0000

Last week, I had my first job interview. I mean a 'real job interview'. Because my first interviews were when I was applying for a part time job, class mock interview, and mock interview conducted by one of the organizations in UP College of Eng'g. And unexpected as it was, I think I did not perform well. What I clearly remembered was when the interviewer asked me what my least favorite subject is, or in my case, was.

So guess what? Actually it's one of the hardest questions for me to answer. It even took me a bit longer to answer the question. Well, actually, it is easy to say any subjects, but what took me was that I was thinking on how I can defend my answer. After 5 seconds of thinking, I realized that it should not be taking me that long, so I answered...math! LOL. A very cliche answer.

Up until now, I haven't received any updates from that company and I know I was rejected. Haha. If only I got to defend all my answers clearly, I think they probably calling me now already. But, the heck! I even told the interviewer that I did not perform well in that subject. It's like I was saying them that..hey, I am not good in math, do not hire me! LOL. Yeah, considering that they are from IT Company. Yeah, boy, what a bad move. Well, at least I learned. If only I knew this Online tutoring and Math Help, I would have given a better answer to my interviewer. Oh, man, I should have tried this online Algebra Tutoring and Algebra Help before. Try it people! Who knows you'll be answering the same question as well. So better be ready. Hehe.

On Crowd Control

Hmm, February is fast approaching! And when it's February, every UP student is excited. Excited to experience another week-long concert, bazaare, and fun in what we call UP FAIR. Wuhoo! I, for one and for sure, will be attending this event since it would be my last fair as undergraduate student (crossing fingers).

Last year's fair had not been 'fair' for some people who attended it though. In the 5th day of the event, 'people' who were restricted to enter the event created a riot, to the point that they destroyed the fence around the venue. Hmm, but I do not mean that the crowd control capability and strategy of the organizers was not enough and effective. These 'people' I am talking about were really burning with rage for the reason that they were not allowed to enter the event. Well, I can say that the organizers' reason(s) for not letting them in were very valid and these 'people' had no reasonable reasons to act that way. How can the organizers allow them to enter if some of them did not have ticket as the main pass in the first place. Some were really dressed up like they're going to do something bad inside. They are type of 'people' who will give you a suspicious look as if they want to eat you up. They give you this look as if they want to beat you up if you're a guy, or give you a malicious look if you're a woman. I said that the fair is 'unfair' for some people because they have to suffer from physical injury and hospitalization because of the trouble brought by these 'people'.

These 'people' just don't understand what stanchions and barricades are! Hmm, hear me out 'people'...these are for crowd control! If you guys encounter these things again, for your mother's sake, please do read it as 'discipline'! As for my suggestion to the organizers, setting up a velvet rope might help. At least it will give them a sort of ooops-I-do-not-want-to-break-that-beautiful-barricade thinking. Haha.

Yet Another Typical Post

I feel sad now because I still am not able to post my new year post. REAL new year post. Because I am now bombarded with blog tasks as well as my academics is starting to consume all my time and is now compelling me.

Anyway, I am starting to feel the fast shift of cold to hot weather. I remember some few years ago, the cold weather here in the Philippines starts from late November to early February. But now, ugh, it's just a week or so after the cold christmas season and it feels like summer already. Uhm, did I mention fast shift? Well, climate change, that is. Okay, I won't go into details about this technical stuff. Though I might some other time. :)

In countries like Philippines, you're fortunate enough if you have your house or room air-conditioned. But then, some are just contented in having electric fans. Aside from the energy savings, it also has decorative purpose when we're talking about Ceiling fans. You'll understand more if you're going to check Hansen Wholesale Ceiling Fans. They all have it for you, from simple to state-of-the-art types of Ceiling fans. What I also want from Hansen Wholesale is that they give a detailed yet very comprehensive answers to frequently-asked questions (FAQ) -- from sizing to energy saving, to maintenance, and all that what-you-need-to-know about ceiling fans. As for the choices, hmm, they have subcategorized the most unique types of ceiling fans into various Ceiling fan themes. They really got it all for you (LOL. Sounds like a theme song of a mall huh).
