Disneyland January 4-6, 2013

2013-01-15T20:00:58.090-08:00

We went to Disneyland at the very end of our Winter Break. It was the weekend of my birthday, and I wanted to see Christmas decorations, which were going to be up until the 7th of January. Radiator Springs in Cars Land, in California Adventure, is the BEST ride ever! Mater, with a Santa hat. So cute!Walt and Mickey.Goofy is conducting the water at DCA.All of us and Wreck it Ralph, on my birthday!Kevin and I and Vanellope! The castle all decked out for Christmas! The sun was very bright over Radiator Springs. There were super cute displays of Christmas all over both parks. This is in Cars Land.To see the rest of my pictures, CLICK HERE.[...]

Still Around

2012-12-03T19:54:32.062-08:00

I am still here. It's just been very busy. Marching Band kept our Saturdays very busy.  It just ended, so now we have free weekends, and if Quinn decides he really doesn't want to play baseball this season, we'll have even more time on our hands. Since my last post, here's some of what's been going on... Parade! Since the Giants won the World Series this year (Go GIANTS!!), there was a parade, and since there was a parade, Kevin and I had to go!! I went in 2010 (by myself) and had a lot of fun. Kevin came with me this time. Tons of fun! What a parade! Lots of confetti!More confetti! Hey! That's Hunter Pence!! I got lots of great pictures of players and staff and floats and confetti, but this one's my favorite. To see the rest of my parade pictures, CLICK HERE. Then there were lots of band competitions... Riley, playing clarinet during their field show.  Field show in Fairfield, in the rain! Then... We made it to the Disney Family Museum over Thanksgiving break. We really love this place! There are great views of the Golden Gate Bridge from the museum. It was a beautiful day too! Quinn, being silly. Riley was in the Niles Festival of Lights Parade, with the marching band. They all wore lights. On our way to the last parade competition last Saturday. Oakland Children's Parade. It will be on TV later this month. We all took BART. I thought this was a great picture of the band going up the escalator, to find our warm up spot for the parade. Love the Santa hats. The one turned around is my friend's son. He was smiling for his dad. I got a pretty good picture of him too! Group picture at the end of the parade, right before the rain started!Quinn, pretending to be upset that Bugs Bunny is deflating, after the parade. So I believe that catches us up![...]

Santa Cruz

2012-10-21T11:33:10.460-07:00

Riley had a band competition in Santa Cruz yesterday, so we all went. Quinn skipped his baseball game to go, and my mom and dad went as well. There's a Monterey Bay visitor's center in Santa Cruz. It's free! They let us use their potty too! This whale tail is just outside.  Fun for kids of all ages!We walked up to the judging area and waited for American to parade. This is the percussion competition, down the street some. To follow the band, you do a LOT of walking. There was a raised street, so we took advantage and got some good pictures. This was my favorite. The "Free Play Zone" was right along the Boardwalk! Super cool! There were 55 Jr. High and High School bands who participated in yesterday's competition. After the competition, the bands and families got to spend time at the Boardwalk. Since Riley was off with friends, we just had Quinn. He did a little fishing. Coconut Grove building. Quinn got to play some arcade games in there, and air hockey. We walked out to the wharf. The sun had finally come out, and it was beautiful.Quinn, doing tricksIsn't this guy cute? There was an area where you could walk down some steps to a dock, and there were tons of sea lions. This guy (and others) were sleeping just below! So cute!LOOK at the size of this guy!!The Boardwalk from the wharf. We were trying to watch a wedding on the beach. We had to leave before the nuptials. Quinn enjoyed climbing on this huge ball though.[...]

Quinn's New Bed

2012-10-08T20:11:00.159-07:00

Quinn had been asking for a loft bed for quite awhile. He apparently had an idea of what his room should be like, including a TV, a sofa, and the loft bed.

(image)

We decided to get him the bed. We found one at Ashley Furniture. My parents came over and helped to put it together.

(image)

It was not an easy task, putting that bed together. Perhaps Ashley Furniture needs lessons from Ikea.

(image)

Together!!! Finally!!!

(image)

One happy boy!!

(image)

Even Maya "helped."

(image)

This boy loves his new bed!!

(image)

He got new dressers too. Red. We like the red.

(image)

Now he has a decent space for homework and playing Minecraft.

Feste Del Mar Band Review

2012-10-08T19:34:20.485-07:00

Saturday the American High School Marching Band participated in the Feste Del Mar Band Review, in San Jose, CA. They had a parade competition and a field show competition.Getting ready to perform for the judges. Our drum major is awesome!!!Their music is from Carmen. It's very peppy. American did very well in the parade competition. They won two 1st place finishes, a 2nd place and a  3rd place!! They celebrated with happy cheers, then it was off to get ready for the field performance. It's amazing to me that so many band members can move around and play their instruments, and they don't collide! We have a color guard too!You can see Riley, row on the right, second from front.Traveling around, while playing. Can you spot Riley again?I am pretty pleased with this action shot. Riley, playing the clarinet while moving.American had a 1st and 2nd place finish in this competition too! Way to go!!![...]

Cal Berkeley High School Band Day

2012-09-10T19:50:29.424-07:00

Riley had his first performance with the AHS Marching Band. Saturday was High School Band day at UC Berkeley. We had to get up at dark o'clock, to be at the school by 5:00 am. The entire band and assorted parents, took Bart into Berkeley. The bands rehearsed with the Cal Band, then found their seats in the stadium, for the football game. We also got a tour of the Berkeley campus. We all watched the football game (Cal vs. Southern Utah), and at halftime, the high school bands got to perform!! This is Cal's band. There are over 100 people in their band! They played Call Me Maybe, for one of their songs. The band is very talented, and they look like they have a blast. Can you see what they spelled out? Cal. Riley, getting ready to go down to the field, for the halftime performance. The bands had to run to their places on the field. The back side of the AHS Band, as they performed. There were 22 high school bands present. They all played together: Livin' on a Prayer (by Bon Jovi), Rollin' in the Deep (Adele), and the Cal fight song, with the Cal Band. They sounded like they had been playing together for years. When they finished their three songs, they had to run off field. I don't know why I find this so funny, but I do. It's just funny to me.After the game, we all stuck around so that the band could march through campus. They sounded really great! There's another High School Band Day this weekend. SJSU is the host. The next weekend (9/22) , they will perform in their first parade, for Newark Days. If you are local, you should go and watch them. It's really very cool.It was a very long day on Saturday, but it was lots of fun. Cal ended up winning too, so I guess that's a bonus (even for a Stanford fan, and since they weren't playing Stanford).  To see the rest of my pictures, CLICK HERE.[...]

Star Wars Day With the San Francisco Giants

2012-09-03T22:32:00.271-07:00

We went to a Giants game today. Not just any Giants game. It was Star Wars Day!!! Tons of fun!

(image)

These big baseballs are always a hit! They are in the McCovey Plaza. I am sure tons of kids jump all over them.

(image)

Willie McCovey statue, with AT&T Park in the background.

(image)

Star Wars Day came with a giveaway. Our free gift was a Death Star baseball!! Super cool!

(image)

The boys, wearing Star Wars shirts, ready for the game to begin.

(image)

It was a beautiful day in San Francisco today!

(image)

Quinn, goofing around with his orange finger.

(image)

The game went into extra innings (well one extra inning), and the Giants came out ahead!! They won 9-8.

(image)

Everybody wants to leave as soon as the game ends. Major people jam.

Today was our last family outing of summer. We had a nice summer. I think we are all ready to get back to school. We get that chance on Wednesday! To see the rest of my pictures, CLICK HERE.

2012-09-01T11:19:22.054-07:00

Riley spent two weeks at band camp this summer. He is in the marching band at the high school. YES, I said high school. Riley is in high school. That still sounds so very strange to me! Anyway, the camp was not a sleep away camp, it was just during the day. They put in LONG hours though: MWF 8:30-5:00 and TTH 8:30-8:00. The culmination of the two week band camp was a performance for the families and a BBQ. I was amazed at what they accomplished in just two weeks time!!The band marched out onto the track. Note all of the geese. Freakin' geese are EVERYWHERE in Fremont. They poop all over. Color guard. More geese. The band as they came around the track. Riley is the second line in, from the back. Left side, second from the end. He's the small one there. Assembled for their field show. That's the drum major there, on the platform thing. Riley, playing his clarinet. After the performance, the band leaders gave out awards to some members of the band. Riley got an award for his hard work and progress during band camp. We already love the band. Such an accepting group of kids! We look forward to Riley's first season of marching band. We will be very busy, but it's going to be a great fit for him (and for us).[...]

Disneyland

2012-08-15T19:25:22.549-07:00

Last week we went to Disneyland. We couldn't wait to experience the new Cars Land. It did not disappoint. It is spectacular! All of these pictures were taken with my iPhone. Some sights around Cars Land. The Radiator Springs Racers ride is so much fun! Such a great great ride!!!It was HOT the entire week. Mid to high 90s, and there was even humidity, which we did not expect. We sweated our butts off every single day of our visit. Luckily we bought this fan/spritzer. Best $17 I ever spent!!The boys watching the Radiator Springs Racers ride. You may wonder why all of these cars are empty on the Radiator Springs Racers ride. Well, one morning we went to this ride at park opening (with 20 billion others), instead of getting a Fastpass. It took 45 minutes to get into a vehicle. Not too bad actually, but we were literally buckling in and the ride went down. Poop. We were told to get out of the car and we waited at the gates. It was silly to get out of line as we would be the first to ride once it was going again. We waited for over an hour. First they were fixing the ride, then there was ANOTHER earthquake (there was one the night before too), which shut down ALL rides at both parks. By the time they checked the ride for earthquake damage, and then got it working, it was over an hour later. We exited the ride at almost 11 in the morning. Needless to say, we did a Fastpass the next day. The crowds are just too big to try and walk on that ride, unless you are in line an hour before the park opens, or you don't mind using up your entire morning waiting. The ride is fussy and it's been down a lot. They have to work out the kinks. It's still worth the wait though. It's a really good ride. The castle, at night. We didn't spend as much time at Disneyland this trip, because we wanted to experience all the new stuff at DCA. We did our favorite rides though.Quinn, on a cone, at the Cozy Cone. I think I was enjoying my apple freeze at this time. Yummy! It's Disney's version of Butterbeer, only apple flavored.Waiting for DCA to open the morning we left for home. Kevin got Fastpasses for Racers and the boys and I rode Soarin'. We didn't have to wait at all. Walked right on.Mickey's Fun Wheel. Kevin, Quinn and I rode a swinging gondola this trip. Never again! It is just too freakin' scary!! If you want to see the rest of my REAL pictures, CLICK HERE.Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone[...]

Instagram Fun

2012-08-03T16:50:33.117-07:00

I quite enjoy Instagram. I use a different app to jazzy up my pictures and then I post them to Instagram. There are a LOT of talented people out there, posting beautiful pictures on Instagram. Here are some of my latest posts...

My neighbor's plant was growing through my fence. If it's in my yard, it's mine! I snipped it off and now it's in my house.

Getting Ready

2012-08-02T23:34:32.765-07:00

I may be crazy...

(image)

...But I am getting into teacher mode. I went to the horrible Walmart and purchased everything you see. 123 items. AND I did so in the 15 items or less line! It was an accident. Their word processed, cheaply framed sign was hung up crooked, so I didn't notice it. Oh well. Walmart sucks. They need better signs, or maybe the 8 open self check lines are better for people with 15 items or less.

(image)

I also made a trip to the teacher supply store, and found some goodies there. Fingers crossed I am able to be reimbursed.

(image)

Oh, and I stocked up on new Justin Bieber folders, for those students who forget their regular homework folders.

I dropped Quinn off at the Scout House yesterday, for camp.

(image)

He seemed excited to go. He's on his own until tomorrow, when Kevin goes up to relieve the other adult leader.

He was the first one on the bus!

Bye Quinn! Have a great time!

I miss him. It's quiet at home. He's the talker. Riley's quiet.

Alaska

2012-07-28T23:52:17.129-07:00

It's been awhile since I updated my blog. Blogger changed things and it's really weird to use. I don't think I like it. Anyway, I digress...Kevin and I went on a cruise, without the boys. After such a hard school year, and lots of stress, we just needed to unwind. The boys stayed with my parents and went camping in the RV, at the beach. They were completely spoiled by their grandparents. :-) Quinn said, "I like it." Who can argue with that? Kevin and I sailed on Disney Wonder, to Alaska. We've been to Alaska three times now. If you haven't gone, I highly recommend it. It's truly a beautiful place. These guys are on the back of the Disney Wonder. Aren't they cute?We saw a bear off the side of the road, on the way back from our excursion in Skagway.Kevin really needed to check his phone. When we visited Tracy Arm Fjord, the crew captured this glacier ice for people to look at and touch. Pretty cool-literally and figuratively. This is Sawyer Glacier, in Tracy Arm.                                      In Juneau, we went whale watching. This one is my favorite. We saw 6 or 7 Humpback whales. Very cool! I took a million pictures of humps and tails.Kevin and I with Pluto! We had a really good time. We spent a couple of days in Seattle before we boarded the ship. If you want to see a trillion more pictures, GO HERE. It's my Flickr photo stream. There are 7 sets for our trip. From Victoria to Ketchikan.[...]

Summer!

2012-06-14T19:07:18.446-07:00

It's finally here!!! Summer vacation!!! I can so use the break!

(image)

The boys and I had yogurt for dinner. That is the highlight of our first day of summer-unless you want to count the oil change for my car, and TWO trips to Target.

I am going to work hard to update this blog this summer.

Disneyland

2012-04-21T20:06:58.450-07:00

Over Spring Break, we went to Disneyland. The weather was kind of cruddy, but we still had fun. Here we are with Mater and Lightning McQueen. Cars Land is set to open June 15! We absolutely can't WAIT! When we arrived in Anaheim, we immediately went into DCA, and then over to the Disneyland Hotel for our dinner reservations at Goofy's Kitchen. Here are the boys and Aladdin. Kevin, Riley and Quinn with Minnie Mouse. So cute! We always love to take pictures by the Walt and Mickey statue. I like that it looks like there's nobody in the park. Huh. There were though. LOTS. The castle from the back side! Over at DCA, we had our picture taken with Mickey Mouse! He's so cute. Monorail Red, heading into Disneyland. The front of the castle. You can just see the top of the Walt Disney statue. I love that pink tree. The boys on Main Street. This was BEFORE the crowds arrived. Quinn loves to ride Big Thunder. He screams in delight the entire ride.Riley, riding in the front of the Monorail. We all were there, but Riley was especially happy.[...]

Is it Summer Yet?

2012-04-03T21:38:24.175-07:00

Life just seems like a blur these days. Baseball has started, and with that, a super busy schedule of practices and games, in addition to all of the other things we have going on as well. It's crazy. Oh, and two weeks ago, I missed an entire week of school. I started not to feel well on a Sunday. I had been coughing, a dry cough. I decided to stay home on the following Monday as I had no energy, and didn't have any idea how to operate my students and cough at the same time. I spent the day on the couch, and then Tuesday on the couch as well, same reason, only by then I wasn't sleeping at night. On Wednesday I still had no energy, but I got myself to the doctor. I had a nasty virus which was settling in my chest. I was very wheezy. The doctor prescribed two inhalers, which I got to wait for for 45 minutes at our lovely Walgreens. I coughed all over the place in Walgreens. Pretty sure I had a fever by then too. They told me they would rush it, but if rushing is a 45 minute wait, then I hate to think what the regular wait is like. I hate our Walgreens. Anyway, the doctor told me I could not return to school until the following Monday. I spent a lot of time with my couch, and my new iPad (which I love BTW). The cough still comes and goes, but my energy is back. Kevin had to pretty much do everything that week. I was useless. I hadn't been that sick in a really long time. But before I got sick, my mom and I went to Vegas!!We stayed at The Cosmopolitan. It's a really nice hotel, I mean REALLY nice. We loved it. This is outside of one of the doors. Pretty cool. They have this Chandelier Bar. Plastic beads hung all over the place. It's SO pretty and very sparkly. I bet it took forever to hang all of those bead strands. The Cosmo from across the street. I have pictures of our room, on my phone. If I remember, I'll try and post some tomorrow. The rooms are really nice, and the beds were so comfy.Paris Casino. I always like the look of this casino. This is inside the Venetian. Such pretty ceilings. My mom and I had lunch at Serendipity 3. It's just outside of Caesars. Our lunches were very yummy, and too filling to have the raved about Frozen Hot Chocolate. Maybe next time.Leaving Las Vegas (LOL LOL). I got to have the window seat on the way home. You can see some casinos on the strip-especially Luxor.Las Vegas from the air.Pretty! It was a very fun trip. My mom liked it so much, she and my dad are going back during Spring Break. I bet you can't figure out where WE are going for Spring Break. Hmmm. It's such a mystery.[...]

Disneyland-Adults Only

2012-02-28T19:46:13.769-08:00

Kevin and I went to Disneyland. We went on our own, over President's weekend. The boys went with my mom and dad, in their RV, to Case de Fruta. Quinn was sick (really sick) the whole weekend though. Now my mom is super sick (thanks to sick kids in her class, and Quinn). Quinn is still coughing, but he's definitely more himself this week. Riley had a good time though. He didn't have to talk to anyone, or go anywhere, and that's paradise to him!Kevin and I got to ride on the Lilly Belle. It's a caboose that Walt Disney purchased, and named it after his wife. Anyone can ride, you just have to make reservations in the morning. You can't ride without a guide, and it doesn't run in bad weather. We enjoyed it. It's been fully restored and contains some antiques, and things that belonged to Walt and his wife. Cheshire Cat. He's my favorite part of Fantasy Land. He's hidden in a rock, outside of the Alice in Wonderland ride. The Matterhorn is being refurbished. Scaffolding everywhere! Not very picturesque, but we find this kind of stuff very interesting. I am sure it will be ready to go in time for the summer season.Tomorrowland. I really do NOT like the ride that is attached to this, but I sure do like this space orb thingy. The ride is like Dumbo, but it freaks me out. The space shuttles seem too short on the side and I worry I will fall out.Cute owl with the castle in the background.CHECK IT OUT! Construction is almost complete on Carsland! This is going to be so COOL. We just can't WAIT until it opens. This is the backdrop to a ride, which if you have ever been to Epcot at Disney World, is a lot like Test Track. We are super excited. I believe they have an opening date of June 15!!Tower of Terror. I really like this ride. It makes me feel scared every time I ride, but it's so much fun. It bounces...and bounces...and bounces...and drops. So fun.Kevin is playing the part of your favorite Disney Pal. Mickey is pointing at him.California Screamin'. This ride is the BEST roller coaster. It is so much fun. We can't get either boy to ride it. We are hoping they (or one) will ride it when we go in April. I think we have a much better chance of getting Quinn on it than Riley.Kevin and I had a good time. The parks were super crowded. We hadn't been to Disneyland when the crowds were that big, in quite some time. It was crazy crowded and even the Fastpass lines were long. We did what we wanted to though, and survived. My only request is that Toy Story gets a Fastpass one of these days! They have one for it in Florida. I could ride that ride all day long. [...]

Birthday Fun

2012-02-04T22:34:49.349-08:00

Today is Quinn's birthday. He's 10! Double digits, and not a baby any longer! He has been asking for a hamster forever, so we decided that he could have one, for his birthday gift.On Thursday, we got all of the hamster equipment: house, bedding, food, exercise ball, extra tube perch and small sleeping hut.We got the cage put together.Today we went to PetSmart to get the hamster.Quinn, the proud owner of his very own hamster.Carefully holding his new friend, on the drive home.Meet Ruby. She's a Robo Dwarf Hamster. She's tiny. She's about a month old, and if taken care of, she can live up to 6 years! She'll get a little bit bigger. She is freaking adorable! She seems to love Quinn. When I try to pet her she's all freaky, but he must have the touch, and he certainly loves her. Quinn said this was the "best birthday of his life!" He also got a Creator Lego set from his brother, a Gryffindor Scarf, a Harry Potter Lego set, money and a Target gift card. He's a pretty happy boy.I seriously can't believe he's 10! Where does the time go?[...]

Long Weekend

2012-01-15T22:26:43.730-08:00

It's great to have a long weekend! So far, I have slept in, until 10:00 AM both days, and just hung around the house. It's nice. It's just crazy at school. There are just too many students. The change in class size is just ridiculous. I can't teach. I spend my entire day disciplining 3 kids. It's exhausting. I do have sweet kids, I really do, but there are three that absolutely make me nuts. I am trying to focus on the rest. It's quite challenging with the constant interruptions. I wish their parents could control them. Anyway, I am enjoying my weekend...

(image)

This is Sharkie, the mascot of the San Jose Sharks. He came to visit my class on Friday. I swear we need Sharkie every day. The kids have never been more at a loss for words!

(image)

Even Maya is enjoying the lazy, king weekend!

(image)

I got a new puzzle when we were at Disney World, so I got it out and started it.

(image)

Kevin and I enjoyed two bottles of this yummy stuff on Saturday night, and again tonight, while we watched the Golden Globes.

Tomorrow we are going to venture out of the house, to see Beauty and the Beast in 3D.

I'm Here

2012-01-11T19:48:00.737-08:00

Wow, it seems I have had many absences from my blog lately. It's just work/life keeping me busy. Plus, we just got back from Florida. We spent 10 days at Disney World, and a quick trip to Islands of Adventure, to go to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Here are the highlights of our trip. I still have to get them onto Flickr.Animal Kingdom, on our way to ride Expedition Everest. Quinn is just tall enough this year to ride! He loved it!We did this Wild Africa Trek at Animal Kingdom, on Dec. 31. It was sooooo cool. We all got to wear those funky vests! The trek allowed us to get closer to hippos and crocodiles. I was not standing right next to this hippo. I was on a slight overhang, looking over them. I zoomed with my camera. This is where we stood, harnessed in. If you look to Quinn's right, you can just see the hippos. You can also see the regular safari tour vehicle, to Quinn's left.We had to cross two rope bridges! One person at a time. It was very cool. One of the bridges went right over the crocodiles. There's something like 26 of them down there! All boys. Again, we were up above them a little, and harnessed in.Magic Kingdom, Cinderella's Castle. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Riley and I have been reading the Harry Potter books-finally. I bought them a long time ago, thinking Riley would like to read them. He never showed any interest, but then I decided that I would read them. My nieces love them, and between them and me reading them, Riley has started reading them! He's reading book 5 and I am reading book 4. Since we were going to be in Florida, we decided to visit the Harry Potter world. It was pretty cool. VERY crowded, but cool. Oh and it was freezing the day we went. I mean really really cold! You felt like you were in the book or movies, walking through Hogsmeade. Really really cool.Of course, we had to have Butterbeer. We had both the cold and frozen. Both were very yummy.Epcot. This park is my favorite. I really love the World Showcase, and we all love Test Track.Rafiki and the boys! This was taken at Rafiki's Planet Watch at Animal Kingdom.Quinn on Expedition Everest. He loved the ride. It really is a great ride-easily my favorite Disney ride. It's so good!A giraffe from the safari vehicle at Animal Kingdom. I just love them. They are so cute.Kevin, Stitch and the boys at Magic Kingdom. We had a really great time. We are all still quite exhausted and still trying to get back into our time zone. I am looking forward to the weekend, where I hope to sleep! I will try to be back tomorrow with other things that have gone on around here.To check out the pictures from our Wild Africa Trek, click HERE. Global Winter Wonderland

2011-12-23T20:57:11.323-08:00

Last night, Kevin and I took the boys to the Global Winter Wonderland. This is apparently its first time in the US. It's in the parking lot of Great America (an amusement park, if you aren't' local). Actually, I believe it's the parking lot that may soon be the new 49er stadium. Anyway, there have been commercials on TV and one day I decided to google it, and it looked very interesting to me. It was interesting, and very colorful too! These are all giant lanterns which light up. This dragon pagoda is pretty cool.Quinn, don't ask me what he's doing. He always has a plan.Cute, colorful snowman! This is a really big shoe. I guess the old lady who lives in a shoe, celebrates Christmas too. Jeez, I bet Christmas is expensive when you have so many children (that you don't know what to do).A very Disneyish castle.I love these trees! This is made entirely out of dishes: plates, glasses and spoons. Look closely. Very cool.To see the rest of our Global Winter Wonderland pictures, click HERE.[...]

I Am Still Here

2011-12-23T20:46:46.978-08:00

It seems like I have been absent from my blog a lot lately. Work. I am so busy at school, and then shuttling these boys all over to activities and appointments, leaves me exhausted in the evenings. It's been crazy. Anyway, I am here now, on Winter Break, but it doesn't feel like a break getting ready for Christmas and all! Here's a little about what's been going on around here...My mother in law made me this yo-yo tree. Isn't it cute? The UPS guy in our neighborhood, delivers on bike! It's so cool! This is our tree this year. I have a TON of ornaments. I really should streamline them. We do have another little tree, full of nothing but ornaments we got at Disneyland or Disney World. I should take a picture of that. We are Disney geeks. We have a Christmas yeti. Doesn't everyone?Riley had his first band performance last week. All of the bands at his school are awesome! His music teacher is amazing. Riley can play that clarinet! It's so cool.We went to a cookie decorating party last weekend. We HAD lots of pretty, decorated cookies, but they have somehow disappeared! Imagine that!Quinn, "testing" a cookie. He approved! Cookies taste good.I am going to try my best to be around here more often. [...]
